Ha, I would be so angry if I was playing through FF7, I got to the third disc, and it started playing SpongeBob. I have a Blinx for Xbox and a Ratchet Deadlocked for PS2 with the bottom part of the label being at the top and there's a white bar before the top begins. I have a Kid Icarus Myths & Monsters where everything on the label has like a duplicate ghost outline next to it.

We are soldiers without borders, our purpose defined by the Era we live in; we will sometimes have to sell ourselves and services. If the times demand it, we'll be revolutionaries, criminals, terrorists.
And yes, we may all be headed straight to Hell, but what better place for us than this? It is our only home.
Our Heaven, and our Hell.
This, is Outer Heaven.

What about FF7's character "Aeris" when I believe it was a typo and meant to say "Aerith". But it was never corrected, and a lot of people don't know that. As well, I'd be furious if my FF7 played Spongebob lol

I had one of those regular front/greatest hits back insert FF7's I thought someone just switched them out for some reason though.

If you have any GBA signage or kiosk I would be interested. Please send me a PM because I'm only here about once a month now but I'm still VERY interested in large system signage or small playable kiosks related to the GBA.

hey phins try and get some scans to show us, but they sound like cutting errors when the labels were printed the sheets of paper were cut improperly leaving the bottom of one label and the top of the next
as for your kid icarus thats a printing error probily one of the screens shifted creating the outline

Beaten to death... but anyway... in Japanese, the "th" sounds like "ssssss", so it only makes sense to translate "Aerith" to "Aeris".

Likewise. I think I sold mine off as being a "pieced together greatest hits". Oh well.

I opened a sealed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for Nokia N-Gage to find a Sims: Bustin' Out NFR card. Does that count?

I've opened a thread about it a few months ago - http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&...
Looking closely at my Zelda: OOT N64 I saw a misspelled word ('Enivironment').

I remember someone on here had a Zelda A Link to the Past with an upside down label. A very cool factory error. It was awesome. I'll try and find the thread. EDIT: It was actually Super Metroid greatest hits http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/...

Is it possible that it was a reseal?

Is it possible that it was a reseal?

Very doubtful. Most of the N-Gage games I've gotten have been sealed and it seemed legit.
(I open them all because there is no big difference in price between CIB and sealed N-Gage... Yeah...)

Besides, who in their right mind would take the time to reseal an N-Gage game? lol

bump for updates
and the first Error Spotlight
Final Fantasy 7

heralded as one of the best RPG's on the Playstation system
its certainly a good game but we are not here to review the game it self but look at all of the thing that went wrong with its making
first off we will look at all the minor things

this particular error is not rare and should not go for more than the fixed one
the i in masterpiece somehow was printed above the rest of the word this is a black label error

next up is a greatest hits error

this printing error received the image of Sepheroth on both sides of the disc case once again not rare
now onto something alittle more rare as this one only counts if the game is still sealed reason being is anyone can make this error what we have here is a Black Label front with a greatest hits back
from people who have opened theirs i have determined that the discs are in fact Greatest hits edition
my guess this happened right as the GH edition was released and some cover pieces got switched
0

and lastly the data Error apparently a few discs got mixed up in the assembly line for the third disc
once again the Greatest hits edition. heres a video of the disc being played
http://video.google.com/videoplay...#

for such a "great" game they sure screwed this one up i think it maybe the most flawed game releases

The first run of the greatest hits versions of Final Fantasy Tactics were unplayable. I remember gamestop having a recall on them and having to wait a couple weeks to get a new (working) copy.

I can't imagine how much I'd be pissed throwing in the 3rd Disk and it loading up Spongebob. XD I guess I can imagine. It would be similar to when I was playing the PC version and got to the final boss, then having a HD failure and losing my save. That was like almost 10 years ago now and I'm still too angry to go back and play it. Despite it being an amazing game.

This is some awesome stuff Hybrid. I hope to see more of these in the future. It's cool to have a list, but awesome to write up a little "in the spotlight" segment about a games errors in manufacturing. Good job!

Don't forget the link I posted for the Raiden Project / Killeak error.

http://www.playstationcollecting....

Go to 4:30. It doesn't verify it as it doesn't show him booting it, but it's still a good reference for now.

Btw, this is looking fantastic Jeff!

I honestly couldn't say.  I definately returned mine back in the day.  I remember being SO bummed about it too, I used to rent that game and always had wanted a copy, but at that point, they were $50+ on ebay.
