Hey everyone!  This week's contest is gonna be Adventure Island 2.  Here are the rules:
  • Play until you reach life 0.  You cannot play on life 0 at all.
  • Highest score wins
  • GENRE: Action/Platformer


The contest ends Sunday, 6/24/12 at 10 PM NA time.  Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  Good luck everyone and have fun!  And to those attending the campout next weekend, hope you all have a blast!

Decided to give it a shot as I've never played it before. Seems all right, might be worth a play through if I get time. Terrible score, but the best one on any of the attempts. Forgive the terrible handwriting. (EDIT: Image now embedded in post... finally!)

Awesome game, this is about where I wanted to score but I might give it another go later. Wish I would have beat Jorge this week!


You are basically screwed once you start running out of tomahawks/dinosaurs. I can do the first two islands without dying and easily get up to the 9-live max, but once I have a few deaths and start losing my equipment it really starts to go downhill.

Who is everyone's favourite dinosaur in here? Mine is Spitfire Lavakiller, Blue Bomber, Violetta Dorrilapras, and Fuckstick Terry in that order.

you really have to load up in the first few levels. stashing axe's and dino's while starting the levels without anything at all hoping you get an axe. on levels that youre not familiar with i took a dino in with me to act as a "shield" to try to get through. as for best dino, i like the blue guy cause he shoots low to snag those annoying crabs that appear in level 5.

Yeah but if you pack around dinos then you get 1000 point flowers instead of skateboards which award no points and are kind of a liability. I think it's worth it to use dinos at the start of every level.
