So I just came across this PAL Version of Earthbound and was wondering how it was accomplished. My guess is that the person removed the anti-piracy checks and changed the rom to PAL and disabled the CIC. Anyways take a look because I'm confused.

Well no where in the auction does it say it plays all the way through.

Apparently, it's a reproduction, but there's no saying that it works completely. I'll ask the seller if it works completely or not. I'll reply once I get an answer.

No idea how they did it, but I love the fake seal of quality, fake Australian game code, etc. Let's flag it for being a counterfeit good.

Yeah, he said it was a reproduction copy but I just got a reply from him saying "Hi there, I have used a hacked rom that has all the security removed so yes you can play it through to the end. Hope this helps. Thanks". So let's recap, he says he removed the Anti-Piracy checks, he hacked the rom and claims that the game plays without a problem. So can someone confirm this by buying the cart and testing it?

For $130? nah...

You could also play the game on an emulator for zero dollars.
