My first program

Well, this isn't really a "game" per se, but rather a palette tester.  Basically, I have it showing a user all the colors of one shade of the NES palette on-screen and then the ability to change them by pressing up or down.

Anyway, the rom is attached.  Give 'er a go if you want to see COLORS.

Sound is in too!

I was actually curious if someone with a PowerPak and some time could see it.  One thing I wanted to see is what the NES interprets each color as so I could maybe make a more accurate palette for my emulators

Nice work! I don't have a PowerPak, but it works great in Nestopia.

Looks like I've found one limitation of using a Linux machine...can't seem to get this ASM stuff working right :/ ...

Unfortunately WinXP is really a requirement for NES dev right now. The emulator with the best debugger (FCEUDX SP) is Win only. You should be able to recompile NESASM or another assembler, and use the java Tile Molester but for watching code run you can't use another OS. You may want to look into WINE if that isn't too much of a performance hit.
