Another thing that the rules for this week need to address is that every attempt should start from a fresh NES power up, without letting the appraise mode come up.
The drops are coded as a fixed array and the game doesn't reset it's index to zero every time you start a new game. So, this allows one to manipulate that array drop to get a king drop on the very first live and drop of the game and a second one at his third live, allowing one to do 5 runs on the stage 1 without having to put the effort to get the 150,000 points to do it.

Walking down that ladder. If you don't want to get the torch (SHAME ON YOU!), go back to the previous ladder and go down there.
Also, the 1-up looks exactly like the icon on the start of the game, when you pick 1 player, 2 players or continue.
 

I ended up figuring out the torch thing.....and man those 1-ups are very hidden damn!
 

I noticed that as well...I could "force" spawn a 10,000 king in level 1 right at the beginning.

That is where I went as well.....it would be almost impossible to know otherwise.

 

You'd figure it out given time.
But hey, I prefer a fairer play field, so that skill defines the winner rather than who knowns the most secrets of the game instead.
Whoever makes it to stage 1, run 2 with the most lives remaining will have a greater chance to win this.

I've been playing every game without any outside assistance,so I'll pass on looking at that. Not going to have a ton of time to play this week most likely. I'll be on vacation the week after so I should have plenty of time to play whatever game is next,whatever that may be. (Forgot what it was.)

And with what you said about there needing to be a a rule amendment,I will probably wait until clarification before trying to post a score
 

Bea brings up something really interesting about the rules. I'm going to go ahead and start hard resetting every time in anticipation of a possible rule amendment.

It has Thujone, which happens to be poisonous in high doses.
But absinthe doesn't have very high doses of it, luckily.

You don't even have to be drunk to the point of wardrobe accidents to play it (it helps, from personal experience, though).

I just am just making a satire joke about the whole craft beer thing lately.... I recently heard that it was a big thing and people had apps on their phones that tracked the craft beer they tasted and read reviews on it etc.

We are apparently getting a local brewrey here that is rather exciting.
