Personally, I think the two side pictures look fishy. I don't like how the seam line waves up and down and the T-section where all three seams connect looks off. Possibly it's sometimes like that, but I don't know. Shouldn't there be folds in the wrap where the H-seam connects?

And the second picture shows the seam coming appart. I have never seen a NES game where the seam breaks like that. It's like the wrap didn't glue properly, but I guess it's possble.

Need more pics.  I think reseal and a cr@ppy one.  I'd love to see the back flap.  That is $100 tops.  Assuming it is a legit seal.

Sorry if this is already in here somewhere, but will VGA grade sealed unlicensed or pirate stuff?

lol, post that in the VGA show off, post pics' thread. It's also in the collector's corner forums.

I am searching for the following SNES manuals:
- Sunset Riders    - TMNT IV: Turtles in Time      - Total Carnage
- Utopia                 - Final Fantasy II
Please PM me if you have one or all of them for sale. While I like nice condition, I am interested in anything 7/10ish up.

Why aren't these NES systems (ebay 320842913014 & 110610143200 ) considered qualified? I understand they were never factory sealed, but to me they look like they were opened especially the deluxe set. Sorry if this has been answered, just trying to learn this new vga grading stuff.

Could I trouble someone to PM me through the process of either doing an online submission or a paperwork one? I just really don't want to mess it up at all and want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. It's for the sealed Ducktales 2 I recently came across.

Thanks for anyone that can help me out!

Ok heres 4 games I have been considering getting VGAed I was hoping to get some input if its gonna be worth for me to get them graded. I just love the box art on these and would love to have them in some sexy VGA cases. If some of you get the chance I would love to hear what you think there are, Im hoping for at least 8's on all but I dont think some are.

Bandit Kings of Ancient China

Wizards and Warriors 3

They all have scuffs and a few have the dreaded worn corners. It all seams pretty minor to me but thats why Im asking lol

Anyone know if there is a difference in the rarity of Mario Party 3 overlap seam and the v-seam variant?

Kobra, do you want to keep or sell these? They all look like 80+ or 85's to me...

Hey Jason, not really sure about rarity but of course the V Seam is the more desirable and expensive.

I want to keep them for sure. I hope I didn't make it sound like I wanted to sell lol

I haven't seen one since I bought mine. I was thinking they were all overlap until I saw it on eBay.

I didn't know MP3 existed in V-Seam form either, I'd say you got a rare variant on your hands. Sealed variant demand isn't there yet, simply because people don't know. I also have an unconfirmed N64 V-Seam variant that I plan to sub in the next couple of months. People will take notice if they care about a particular title.

In general, my theory is the later the release, the harder it is to find in V-Seam (if it exists).

Zelda OOT - 1998 - V-Seam and Overlap seam are equal rarity.
Smash Bros - 1999 - V-Seam is less common, not sure how much.
Zelda MM - 2000 - V-Seam is considerably more rare, at least 5 to 1 IMO.

So MP3 is right in that 2000 release date, and the Seam appears to be significantly rarer if I didn't even know about it. So that's a good thing to know.

If you VGA it, make sure to get the Vertical Seam noted on the front.

I have VGA'd already but I didn't think to get it labeled at the time. I need to get it relabeled. lol here is a link to the pic of the front. Second pic is of v-seam going down the back of the game. Big pic but I wanted to show the v-seam clearly. The MP 2 is overlap seam.

Any ideas of what this game would grade at. It's a local store that has it but I was wondering if it will grade at least 85+. This is the best picture I could get without pissing the owner off lol.

took time to take pictures of my SS Bundle, what im worried about is the 3 very small marks on pic #11. there's no other scuff, bends, marks or crushing other than that.

http://s489.photobucket.com/album...

i have it packed this way since launch date. I want to send it to VGA next week but need some advice about the 3 marks if its gonna affect much or not. i litteraly had to pick 3 bundle before taking this one. the other 3 were crushed & bent from the fatory's box (shipping carrier i'd guess).

thanks

The only thing I see wrong with in those pics is the flaking on the front. Where are the other two spots?

there's 3 flaking like you said. left between the wiimote & cds, and on the right beside link, and another a little bit higher.

I have the same issue with one I'm debating on sending in. Everything looks perfect except for some flaking on the front. Anybody send one in with flaking and get a good grade? I guess it's similar to what Cabanon is asking. I may take the leap anyways to protect it and keep it in my collection.

Yeah, those Skyward Sword Bundles are really incredibly fragile. At one point I had 7 of them and all of them had art damage in some way shape or form. I would love to buy a true mint copy of one soon.

Tom came by a couple weekends ago and we got to talking about VGA a bit, wondering what you all thought:

What do you guys do with stickers? Have VGA remove them always? Sometimes? Is there an advantage to each? Just curious what others thought as I really didn't know what the consensus was.

Another thing that I actually forgot to ask Tom entirely: If your box has a hang tab, do you have to ask VGA to let it go straight up? Do people prefer them just bending it over?

I think I've only sent in like 6 games, so I'm always learning. Thanks!

I thing bending the tab is default, you need to ask for it to go straight up.

Personally, I would leave a small price sticker, but remove any big ugly bar code ones.
