Despite the fact that I won the tier on this game last year, Luke and Santa are playing at an entirely different level, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Ha!  I know!  If I had a top-loader to play it in, it would look even better for the contest.

But I don't think i could do it justice this week.

it seems like i have hit a wall ( no pun intended ) i played a dozen times today and the scores ranged all between 180 and 170 k . whether i won alot of races or just placed and showed , i was having trouble with the quickest car so i held out on the upgrade to the third car till after track 18 but still maxed out around track 22 . not sure how i can squeeze more points aside from winning the last 2 races. I would really like to break 200k this week

Im praying I can put up a solid score this week. I need to make it into the top 10 at least a couple times, I know I have it in me.

I played this game a ton when I was a kid, my best friend had it and I used to kick his ass all the time. Lets hope some of those skills stuck around!

Score updated on page 2. Broke 240k...

Just topped my score from the old summer tourney in about 10 attempts so far. I bet during that tournament week I played close to a 100 times too.

I would expect a nitro motor driven car to clobber a NiCad or NiMH based car, just based on the power-to-weight issues, if nothing else.

I seem to always hit a wall in the middle of the week. I normally take a break for a day or try out the next week's game. I played a few games of Xevious last night and man is it tough.

No way!

Every score matters.
By the end of the regular season, the standings are usually super close.
I got in Tier 3 last season with help from my disgustingly bad score in Duck Tales. (I can't even beat the first level in that).

Ended up taking second place. Never would have made it without a few bad weeks.

Does anyone else favor the regular, no boost arrows, no walls and just a few oil slicks racing that is level 8? Just 4 laps of good ole racing. Lol.

Also level 14 and 18 are where I eat dust, walls and oil. Level 19 seems easier to me than those two.

In 19 you just stick to one side of the track and then switch over to the other side.

I love track 8. No speed up gimmicks,just racing. Also love track 5. Every level that uses the genie's lamp track (4,6,etc) can suck a D. I really struggle with that track.

For what it's worth, I have always loved this game. I doubt I'll be able to do as well as I did as a kid. I'm noticing a theme here. hahaha.

I also have to say that the games by Rare are among my favorites. That's the opposite of what some others have said, which I didn't expect!
