Of course!   I've been playing it on mine no problems. Dude, it'd be beyond shocking if a homebrew developer made a game that didn't work on the AVS. Seriously. Haha. Retron 5 though, that's another story since they have a database against which games are matched. (unless you backdoor it. unsure what the status of that is these days, I do not have a retron 5)

I dunno man, that's pretty weird. I haven't updated my AVS since I got it and Lizard works fine.

Did anyone receive a shipping notification? Or did it just show up?

Ok sorry to quote again but i got it to work with my AVS so its all good (it had something to do with a controller in port 2 or something ???). Anyways my main concern now is that ive been playing for a few hours and im having a blast but something weird just happened. (Spoiler Alert ?).                   






I just beat 1 boss, the water boss and the game ended and i saw the credits ? and when i do continue i restart right before the water boss where i was before ? so you cannot progress in this game ? also coins reset every time you die ? are you supposed to finish the game with 1 life ? lol im just a bit confused, i know you dont have all the answers but maybe some so please enlighten me  

Brad if you read this also please give me a little something to go with, i really like the game just not sure and thats part of the magic i know but still after what just happened im not sure what to think ?

I just received tracking today.   Hasn't been shipped yet though.

The mini endings surprised me too at first. But then it dawned on me that's the key innovation of this game. Instead of one enormous sprawling metroidvania it is more like several smaller metroid vanias that overlap. Takes the pressure off, and I actually really appreciate this about the game. I'm looking forward to playing more.

 

Yes! Got my copy yesterday. Thanks Rainwarrior for such an interesting and unique game. Def some of my favorites.

I do get questions from people but for the most part I feel like it's better to let a community answer them, than have some sort of official word from the creator. I'd much rather let people interpret meaning than tell them the meaning of things.

Though, maybe someday a nice person will make a GameFAQs entry or something as a guide to people who need a hint.

Except the torches light based on which bosses you beat. It appears to be more complex than just a few individual games. However, it's frustrating, because progress doesn't get saved by the password on reset. However, coins collected stay collected between games.

Ok so everytime i reset i have to beat all 6 bosses to finish the game ??? And how can coins be saved with password ? Not sure here.

So much for the spoiler blackout. I guess I know now. lol

Finally got my boxed copy and played for a wee bit. Absolutely amazing stuff! So I made it through the water boss (think I died about 50 times there alone) and then got stuck trying to get up the ice mountain. Seriously loving it so far! Controls are on point, music is AMAZING and the attention to detail in the little creatures all around is super impressive. Also, not knowing that I was "wearing" a Lizard made me laugh like crazy when I finally found another "skin-suit."

Getting really into it now... found 6 bosses, beat 5. But where the heck is the push lizard? Arggg!

I don´t know if you found the push lizard yet but its on the volcano side but you have to go though a door on the Ice mountian side to get to it.

Does the piggy bank do anything? I put around 78 coins into it and got nothing.

Apparently it does something special if you find 125 coins. I'm currently at 123, and losing my mind trying to find 2 more :/

Can confirm you get something special at 125. There are also extra lizards that the manual does not show.

And here I thought I was done playing this game. I felt like there was quite a bit I was still missing.

Beating the 6 bosses and the final boss is the main part of the game. The other stuff is extra, but smoking lizards is real cool.
