It is obvious that Goodwill doesn't know what they have here. The seemingly odd high price for this bundle of games should throw up a red flag. Let's hope a corrupt employee (and we all know Goodwill is filled with them!) doesn't steal the game before the auction is over.

how many of them have you seen with a 5 screw?

. I've seen several of the yellow version, never a Zelda one thou. I have a five screw yellow port test cart myself. They def show up a lot less than 3 screw ones. As far as I know there are no 5 screw grey test carts.

interesting.... hehe because thats the type i have and when i look at auctions for the yellow cart zelda i've seen only 3screws...

was always wondering about it...

That's cool, Man! Mine has three screws and I have not seen one with 5 before. Hope someone who appreciates this cart buys it.  MinusWorld, if it's #1 on your list grab it now! It took me forever to find one that was in good condition.  Curious to see where this one ends up. I've seen them sell for 950-1300 over the past year, with one in a French auction going for $1600.

You're lucky to see 2-3 of them a year.

Mursean's copy has a couple bids over a thousand already.

Are there any differences in gameplay in these carts?

My understanding is that Goodwill puts this kinda stuff up for auction instead of selling it in the stores - hence the ones around me having nothing of this sort, mostly junk...

No I don't think so, I believe they are released versions.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, isn't $1K the highest one has ever sold for?  Crazy times

No difference in gameplay. Exact same board as either the LOZ gray or gold. Forgot which one and don't have it in front of me to check. There is a slight difference with the pins at the bottom between each, and the test cart uses one or the other.

I had a bounty for $850 last year, then $900, then $1000, and still couldn't get anyone to budge. I was impatient and made an offer that couldn't be refused...which was over $1000. Beautiful condition though.

Once again you show your bias and ignorance huh?

It's not about the plastic shell, it's about this being a Nintendo Service Center cartridge.

But what do you care, you'd just rather bash other people and what they collect right?

Since you deem it too expensive, or whatever you rationale is.

Defensive much?  Get over yourself.

I wasn't bashing the game or anyone that collects it, I don't give a crap what people collect.  I'm just pointing out what it is.  Just like Stadium Events is an expensive variant, or Myriad is an expensive sticker, big deal.

I think the issue is everyone is used to everything else going up but when multiple people have $1000 bounties out and no one has seen a nice one in awhile, people start to question something like this. The bottom line is like anything else, things like this are due to go up. I don't see any difference with this and people paying $$$$ for a piece of plastic on a box or a VGA slab. People will pay what they deem it is worth and if they want it. At least with something like this it won't have as much of a chance at sabotage as other high profile auctions these days.

Could you elaborate on this for hillbillies like me?

Also, in this case I would assume it's one cheap yellow shell and whatever is inside is pure gold. But I may be wrong. Won't be the last time, haha
