@Cabanon - thank you! At first, I didn't give much weight to the DOCS controllers because I already have a pair I deemed to be for parts (missing battery covers), but I'm glad I kept them because I can't bring myself to throw out any piece of gaming.
Tanooki - I agree with you in that Craigslist shouldn't be ignored. Like you, I've also spent too much time trying to make deals happen and working with illiterates (I mean this in the most non-condescending way possible) that I could have fared better by trolling eBay BINs. At least I won't have to worry about losing my money or having a gun pulled on me on eBay.
I also agree with you on flea markets. Upon further investigation, what I went to was a swap meet (if that makes a difference), and the day I went was something like an open day where anyone could set up and anyone could enter for free. Because of this, only like 1/6th of the area was full. The last time I went to that spot, all the parking spots were full of vendors and there was actually stuff to look at. Having been yard sailing for 15 years, I'm used to, and have come to enjoy digging through crap. I'm not complaining about the condition of the games or the $2 price tag, but I was fed up with vendors thinking that they can get $20 for a Nokia 8200 or $5 roller ball mice.
Thank you for pointing out that there are deals to be had at flea markets/swap meets. I will have to give it another go when everyone is there. I'm very pleased to hear that there ARE still deals out there, as it seems like everyone jumps on Amazon when you ask for a price, then quotes you double that price.
