Figure some of you guys might enjoy this hack...







  

Bowser has returned and kidnapped Yoshi!  You must help Mario rescue his friends from the clutches of evil!

Controller
D-PAD - Controls Mario's direction
A - Jump
B - Run/shoot fireball
Start - Pause

Hold A while landing on an enemy to super jump

Power Ups
Mushroom - Turns Mario into Super Mario
Fire Flower - Turns Super Mario into Fire Mario
Starman - Makes Mario Invincible for a short time
Stopwatch - Freezes enemies and game clock

Coins - Collect 100 and Mario is given a Starman power up
Mario Coins - Collect these to make Mario's journey easier.  Collect all 32!

I just played up to level 2-2. Great game. I like the unlimited lives, star power when you collect 100 coins and the box you hit to complete the level instead of the flag pole. Also great music.

Oh wow, this looks like it blurs the line between 8 and 16-bit games...12-bit?

Anyway, definitely adding this to my "To Play" list. Sweet stuff

I'm new to the whole emulation scene, so i'm not quite sure how to patch. This really makes me want to learn how. It looks really cool, congrats! I hope to be able to try it.

To apply the patch, you will need a program like "Lunar IPS" (http://www.romhacking.net/utiliti...) and a copy of the original Super Mario Bros rom.

If you can't figure it out, just send me a PM and I'll send you a copy of the ROM.
