Have you ever played this before?

You should be able to get a decent score from point pressing, but it's tedious. Right now it's easy pickings for the third place spot.

I figured out a better point pressing technique and got a better score. I wasn't even able to get the random stage 4 1up.

I had never played this game before. It’s not bad. Not my favorite game but it’s not bad.

Yeah. It plays a lot like Kung Fu or Rush n Attack, but with the gimmick of a shield that you can aim in all different directions.

And there are hidden powerups, usually in manhole areas, that you uncover by slashing them with your sword. The game is much easier if know where to find them.

This game can be speedrun in 6 minutes. It might take around 12 minutes when playing normally. It's really short.

Oh cool. Looks like I have my second contest win.

I'll just say that there is a lucrative point pressing location where you get over 80k per life that you burn, and requires just standing there and rapidly pressing B. It's not a big secret either. The Twin Galaxies record holder has videos showing how he did it.

So I burned four lives at that spot, grabbed the 1up in level 5, and then burned my two remaining lives killing enemies in 6-1. I didn't get the random 1up in level 4.

I also left a lot of points on the table. The world record is well over 600k.

Nice win man.  Why didn't you beat the game in your run?  I don't know how many points you get for beating it, but that's why I didn't point press the last level.  Easy just to run through and beat the bosses.

You don't get a huge amount of points for beating the game. I preferred to just run down the timer killing enemies.

Yeah, I really wanted to play this week and didn't have enough time to get my reps in. I also didn't realize I could point press until it was to late. The HBPC is taking most of my free game time right now.
