Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week's game is going to be Klax.  Here are the rules:

• Under the Options Menu, set the Drop Meter to On, Difficulty to Easy, and Ramping to On
• Start on Wave 1
• Warping is allowed, but you must start on Wave 1
• Play until Game Over
• Take your picture after you lose the option to continue (A little timer on the left side of the screen will count up to zero.  When it hits zero, you will be able to see your score)
• Highest score wins
• Participation: 50,000
• GENRE: Puzzle

The contest ends Sunday, 7/23/17 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

1.7 mil on the 1st stage, 400K on the second, 300K on the 3rd, minor points on the 4th and 5th and the big 600K warp bonus. I got some good patterns on this one.
Got the 600K warp, still didn't get 3 million points. I suck at this.  
3 million just isn't going to happen, it seems. I failed miserably to get the 600K warp bonus. >.>
I am enjoying this. Next goal, trying to reach 3 million.

This game and booze go pretty well. I made it to wave 37. I will post video later this week, when I get to 1.5 million points or better.

Well, this is fun. I think I will be able to put in a much higher score as I understand the game rules better.
Kinda enjoying this one. I think I will put effort for a win this week.

It seems like this game will always screw you over by not giving you the colors that you need. Or I don't yet understand the best ways to use the colors that it gives me.

This game makes my brain hurt fast.


 

I think this week is my first time playing Klax. I'd definitelyh heard of it, but I've never played it before.
