Although I wouldn't doubt teens today would be lost playing a NES, I've always felt these are staged.

2 things --
1. Really surprised Maisie Williams hadn't played Super Mario Bros or seen an NES. She's usually 'in the know' for things like comic books and such. Well, I guess she knows now and seemed interested to learn more by the end.
2. That one chick from video 2 was right -- Doc Louis TOTALLY looks like Stanley from The Office. Freaking hilarious.

I'm surprised the girl from Game of Thrones would be in such a corny you-tube video.

I'm trying to figure out why the nintendo has a white cable coming out of the RF Out when they already have RCA hookups? Can you really connect the other audio port up to the RF Out?

They're reacting to Punch Out the way we all did. "Whoa, Tyson is huge! Hey, he knocks you down with one punch! That's not fair!"

I get annoyed when there's people that act like,

"HUH!?, how can this kid who was born in 2003 NOT know about the console I grew up with 20 years ago is?? Call of Duty little bastard".

I mean jeez why do some get so paranoid by kids having silly responses like the ones on the video? Congrats to those few on the video that knew what it was but this is optional history that they learn on their own if they want to but really isn't necessary to know about.

In the end, it's honestly some form of jealousy that you simply aren't a kid anymore.

Exactly what I meant lol who cares what someone else knows or doesn't? It's a flipping 30 year old console, of course people younger have a high chance of not knowing it.

I saw this first hand from my wife's nephew a few weeks ago. We were watching him one night, and he tried playing RC Pro Am and SMB2 and was completely lost, couldn't get the buttons down, just couldn't get a feel for it. Then, we switched on the Wii U and played SM3DW and Mario Kart 8, and he had no problem picking it right up a playing it, despite never playing it before. Made me feel old...

It's the way the industry is built, video games have always had the "out with the old in with the new" mentality, can't blame the kids though. Not sad, at least they're being shown a bit of game history.

I found it funny that kid said. "If you have an NES you are the coolest hipster" Thats exactly what I think of when I find out someone has only been collecting a year or so. They only got into it because it's "Cool". I know thats not everyone but I've had my fair share of CL deals where the people buying stuff are completely oblivious. I'm happy they though

I have had a few visitors (mostly my wife's housecall sorts of nurses and such) compliment my game (and baseball/football card) collection. Granted it's a bit modest compared to what I've seen on here (I'm especially envious of that one guy who has every NES/SNES/N64 cartridge on nice shelves...shoot just a complete NES/SNES set would thrill me to death...but they seem impressed at least.

I find it hilarious how they all seem to know the music of SMB and the girl commented, "Oh, I have that iphone case", when handed the controller having no idea it was the design of the original Nintendo controller. Also when the guy was like, "Nintendo Entertainment System............................ Oh, a NES!".

Also, I wouldn't be surprised that videos like this actually continue to add to the prices of retro stuff. There seems to be an overall feeling that this stuff is 'hip' and 'vintage' from the video. With over 3 million view and counting these are the type of videos that will attract uneducated buyers to the market. I'm starting to see a return of everything late 80s and early 90s. I was at the mall the other day and some girl ran out with these high waisted acidwash jeans and was super pumped about buying them!

It'd be better if they actually had kids born in 2003 on there. Some of those "teens" in that video are 18/19 years old.

Dylan should of been in this one. He was in the Teens react to Gameboy video.

Interesting stuff. I'm sure they'll come out with more videos like this, but hopefully next time they'll focus on the younger crowd to mirror the ages most of us were when we were playing these games.

Yeah, I've seen all of those. I was referring to the NES and NES games specifically.
