Yes and I apologize for not clarifying that earlier.  It should be set to "Brave" which I believe is the default difficulty.

 

No worries, thanks for the clarification! I should be able to at least find time to play Star Wars this month since I own a copy. Last month was hell in a cell for me, and I was Mankind. Slowing down a bit now, so should be able to find time.

Waited until the last minute to play this month's games again.  I used to play Super Star Wars a lot, but I haven't touched it in years and now I'm super rusty at it.  Could've gotten further if I had played it earlier in the month.  I'll have to revisit it another time.

Thought I was going to break 30K on this run, but my thumb slipped a bit on the D-pad, I missed a turn and being able to get a pretzel, had to take a different path because of a ghost, and then got surrounded.

Ms pacman is progress?!?

Or is that an error. Looks like killer instinct rules for waiting for timer got left in.

I assume ms pacman is high score only

I am posting this here, since last month thread is closed I believe.

First of all thank you for accepting my score, no matter lacking a proper picture.

And thank you for handling the ranking publishing.  


Then, of course, that game scoring system was really a mess.
So, definitely, no blame on anyone for getting confused by it.

- I am not trying to irritate anyone, just tell a thing for sake of the truth;
- I am aware that it is a game and in the end it doesn't even matter:
- I am speaking in Webhead123 interest, not in my own interest;
- I think to be correct here, but in case I am not, which is possible, I apologize about it.


In last month KI contest, you, Webhead123, and I, ended up with streak 04.

You used this >80000 points score as a tiebreaker for yourself:

however, this is the BEST ROUND score, and NOT the BEST COMBO score, which I believe was decided to be the tiebreaker.

If the best round was the tiebreaker, then I would have 110000 (is relatively easy to score a perfect with Orchid on round 1, just jumping and kicking).

So, bottom line, assuming that you did better than my 6000 points BEST COMBO (it was 4 or 5 HITS, not sure about it), if you think that your BEST COMBO score (i.e. LONGEST SINGLE COMBO SEQUENCE) was below Webhead123 one, then you should rank Webhead123 above you; unless you are certain that your BEST COMBO score (which should be directly tied to the number of HITS, * I think *) was above his BEST COMBO score.

A way to find out, * I THINK *, it is if you guys remember how many hits your absolute BEST COMBO was.

Again, I apologize if I am wrong here, but I believe to be correct.

And again, I'm just saying it for the sake of the truth, I truly do not mind for myself, since I would be 6th in any case.

In my opinion, this is what would make more sense with that game.
But of course, I could not say so myself, since I am the one who would benefit the most.

Is ms pacman meant to be high score?

Progression seems weird since you cant tell exact stage when picturing score at the top

It is meant to be high score and that was an error on my part.  I intended it to be high score and when I originally posted it and was apparently a bonehead.  Fixing it now.

 

Well, safe to say we will never be playing Killer Instinct again. Sometimes you learn by trial-and-error.  I originally had Mortal Kombat II on the slate (it will most likely be bumped to next season) but thought KI was considered the better/more balanced game.  Shows what I know about fighters.

Originally it was meant to be whoever had the higher score on the "high score" threads.  There is/was confusion about it was basically what we'll do is just generate a 3-way tie for us 4th, 5th and 6th Killer Instinct punks.   

 

Gave super star wars a run. Ive beaten it once in my life. Got to the death star reactor core vertical level. Hate that level. Thats one kevel where i had the smoke gun but accidently got the next gun ion csnnon and it ruined everything

I can last much, much longer in the arcade version of Ms. Pac-Man than I can the SNES version on "crazy." I tried a few times and couldn't clear the second level.

Ive gotten to the 5th stage of ms pacman or "apple stage". Those blinkeys get crazy fast

A heads up to Super Star Wars players: Capturing your score if you finish the game is slightly tricky. Unlike Super Empire and Super Jedi, there is no "High Score" screen to fall back on and, in fact, you can't even see your score once you enter the final "Trench Run" stage. Thus, my suggestion is that players pause the game and snap their score on the first X-Wing stage once you're down to only a single TIE or Tower left. As soon as you destroy the final enemy, the game will quickly transition to the final stage and you can't pause while this is happening.

​Learned this the hard way when I just completed a run and forgot about these details.
