I have started the Process of Making a Repro manual for the DKCC, it is my understanding that Nintendo / Blockbuster never made a Manual for this little Gem, and so I am making one (it will have all the DKC basics, with most of the manual discussing the Competition and History)

I am about 50% done... But started wondering, has anyone done this before?

Doens't the game have a timer? What use would a manual be for a 5:00 game? Just curious.

Pretty much every manual is useless, especially for an NES game with a controller that has a total of two buttons. Its really not that hard to figure out what to do. But manuals are nice to have and making one for a game that doesnt already have one is a fun project. It has got be very rewarding to contribute something like that to the community.

I know, I'm not questioning that or saying it's a stupid idea but Donkey Kong Country has a manual already, so what difference would this one be?

For me it is more about having something that describes the Event and all of the great 90's craziness!

Are you making them to sell by any chance?Because if you are I'm already interested ,I own the cart so I'd like a manual to go with it.I have a legit cart ,but I don't own the Blockbuster issued box I'd like to get a repro (green)box made to go with as well!Does anyone here know where I can get one made,I have some repro boxes floating around but I don't like the fact there not green like the original BB ones ,at least the repros I've seen are not green.

Dreamstar, I was actually talking to Zwario about that. Im starting to design a box but I have yet to apply some creativity to it, what kind of look would you like to see on a box.

For me I would like to see it made orignal as possible ,although it would be nice to have a raised Donkey Kong icon or a big Donkey Kong picture on the face of the box that's sort of 3D in appearance .I would like to see some differences from an original box ,partly to distinguish it from an original but also like you said for creativity.

Would you prefer to follow the DK original design (the green leafs) the BB yellow design, or the standard SNES template?

The original Donkey Kong design has always look pretty cool to me ,although the standard Snes template would be cool as well.

Sounds like a decent idea. Make sure you size it well to fit inside the case with the cart. Otherwise it would be awkward tryin to fit it somewhere

All Done, I think it all turned out pretty slick!!  (made a Gold Cart too... couldn't help it...)
