Okay, I added a rule about not pausing during you runs to check for puzzle solutions. If there's some ambiguity, please let me know.

No pause for piss breaks either. You gotta hold it!

LMAO!

That's funny cause I actually asked myself if I needed to specify such things. Of course, you can pause the game to take a leak, to eat, to take a walk with your dog. You can keep your game on hold and go to work (looking at you Richie Head), you can do all that jazz. Just don't use pauses to check puzzle solutions on purpose during your run.

Every time this games comes up on the contest reel I try to get into it and I never can. It's a bummer because I am looking to win Yoshi this year but there is no way I'm getting a top 8 for Puzznic. I'm going to stay quiet, struggle for participation, and continue learning how to play Klax.

Figured you'd get a laugh out of that. Man I have hit the proverbial wall. I'm absolutely stumped on 7-5 right now. So far the puzzles that have really given me fits are: 4-10 5-8 6-2 6-10 7-2 And of course I still screw up 3-2 on occasion.

Edit: Finally figured 7-5 out. You are definitely going to need quick reflexes for that one.

I was going to post a participation score but silly me just paused the game since I couldn't score any more points in the stage I was stuck in. Snapped my picture on the give up screen instead of continue screen.... Guess I gotta go again..... Grooooan

I'm going to try playing without my notes and see how that goes. I'll probably give in later in the week but let's see how it goes until then!

Looking forward to seeing how you do. I got absolutely stonewalled last night. Died at 7-2 like a moron. Went ahead and kept going for practice. Made it to 7-7 before giving up to watch some Dragonball Super.

Most of the puzzles I didn't have too much trouble with until I hit level 7. Geez.

I've made it to 7-2 just casually playing. I'd like to see how far I can go in the next day or two before trying to put it all together.

How ironic, I made it to 2-7

I think I got Game Over in 2-6 and just kept going.  I'm out of practice.

Nice! I have a pretty good memory,so I'm usually very good about remember the solutions when I get them.

I know several definitely aren't optimal as my score probably should be higher at where I died.

I find it funny that you'll get a tough one then you'll get several that are a lot easier....at least until you get to 7. I've struggled with several of them on that level already. It's definitely my sticking point so far.

Score posted. Page 1.

Time to practice next week's game. I can't seem to find a decent Rom of "break week" though.

Most of Level 6 is just stupidly easy compared to what's around it.  The difficulty curve is not smooth that's for sure.

When I played this game for the first time, that was the level that I initially got a game over on. 3-2 was the next one.

6-2 and 6-10 were the only ones in that level to give me some problems.

Puzzle was always my least favorite genre, but I enjoyed Puzznic when we played it during the 2015 contests. I had so much fun that I actually finished second that week!

I made it to a level with a horizontally moving platform going back and forth. I tried to put blocks on it, but I couldn't get the timing and they just fell off. I was like "nuh uh." That's where I gave up. I'm sure that it only gets much crazier from there.

So, if I understand you correctly, you're saying you can finish ahead of me in the beat-em-up genre? We're tied for points, yet saying you gave me a head start implies that it's the actual finishes that matters.

Sure, I'm on. Seems like the only way to make a race for 8th place or higher interesting. And I'll give up my head start right away with Bayou Billy since there is no way I'll have more than an hour or two to play it.

In fact, let's make it more interesting. Winner gets to choose the other person's avatar for a designated amount of time at the end (within ToS).

Deal?

And I'll even give you my usual song and dance;  I've never played Target Renegade or Bad Street Brawler, and my experience with Bayou Jerbilly is about 5 minutes.  So you have no excuse not to whip The Original New Guy's ass.

Looks like you need to step it up though.  Finished 1 spot above me in 2 out of 6 contests?
