As many of you know, I am heavy into video production, editing, special FX and the like. I have rapped with this guy on several occasions on a video forum about match moving and motion tracking techniques. He is really cool, does some awesome stuff. This is a Legend of Zelda clip he upped a few weeks ago. If anyone will apprciate it, it's yooz guys. Hard to fathom that is has 362 dislikes, but that just says there are always buttholes waiting to be buttholes. Hardly matters since it has 15K+ likes.

I'm not usually into stuff like this and I like it. Equally impressed if that was an honest popup that they nailed it in one take.

I enjoyed this

Yeah...the shot is one take used as the main plate. The rest, although it looks 2 dimensional, is actually 3D or 2D in 3D space(or at least the stuff not on the screens). You then add the 3D elements to the plate, using motion tracking, and match move software like Boujou. I cannot stress how long something like this takes to time correctly (basicly frame by frame animation) and to render out, but it's a lot.


The behind the scenes is cool too. I don't care much about it, as I have spent more hours in the post production process than I care to admit. But then again, I didn't go to a digital arts school, but am self taught. I learned a lot by trial and error, but this dude helped me out fantastically with something similar to this, using Cinema4D and Boujou.

I was really glad he chose a character so iconic though. Good music revamp as well, as some know, I do music too.
