Three decades of your favorite video game journalists have been united to collaborate on a new print & digital gaming magazine RETRO.

WELCOME TO RETRO:

Do you long for the great video gaming magazines from back in the day?  Magazines with some heart and soul without all the big media fluff?  We sure do, and that is why video game auction site GameGavel.com and the RetroGamingRoundup.com podcast decided to team up with some of the most popular and influential gaming journalists and personalities from the past three decades to introduce an independent print, digital and online publication dedicated to the past, present and future of the video gaming pastime that will hearken back to the amazing magazines from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's.

ABOUT THE MAGAZINE:

RETRO will be offered in BOTH digital and print editions and published bi-monthly starting January 2014!
  • Each issue will be a minimum of 52 pages on high-quality gloss print with a thick stock cover, utilizing a maximum of 4 pages for ads.
  • ALL PRINT subscriptions will include the digital enhanced versions free!
YOUR SUPPORT:

By supporting the magazine, you're helping to support NintendoAge. We receive a small kickback when you subscribe through our site. This site is run by user contributions, so this is one way you can help and get something cool in return.

This is something I've been wanting for a long time: a US-based retro gaming magazine. I like Retro Gamer from the UK, but it's pricy. Thank you to all who make the new mag possible - I subscribed to the print version.

I'm also glad we can help out NA in the process!

It's possible. Though, I rather have a high quality magazine every 2 months than an OK one every month (I figure the more time they have to work on their pieces the better they will turn out). I'm totally fine with the bi-monthly deal.

Kickstarter supported. My name will be in the premiere issue as a valued contributor

That's true but still it be kinda nice to have something to read monthly since Nintendo Power is gone (Off topic but does anyone know if Nintendo Force is any good as a replacement to Nintendo Power)

I'm gonna subscribe next month. Hope to get the first issue too. Looking forward to a magazine like EGM used to be. You need more ads tho, run some retro ads.

Here is a teaser preview with Table of Contents. Our goal is to increase the page count, in which, we would increase ad count, be we are trying to stick to 1 page of ads for every 10 pages of content. With a writing team like this, content is what we all want. Any, yes, most of our ads will be RETRO related.

I would be interested in contributing. I have an extended amount of reviews and guides I made in the late 90's and early 2000s in spanish for a defunct website.

I could very easily translate for use in the magazine. Let me know!
