For anybody that beats the final boss, I would propose to take the final picture in the jackpot room with all the gold bars. The only bonus points you can get in that last battle is from the gold bars, and since it is quite obvious that nobody wants to get those gold bars to keep their score low, we should take the final screenshot in the jackpot room to validate both that the game is beaten and the final score in one picture.

I agree with both points guillavoie has made. It would be better as the week progresses for everyone to pause the game before they take their picture, get your camera ready, and then take the picture after you unpause. That way, I can see where everyone is on the stage progression meter so that if people end their runs in the same areas, I can more easily determine who got further. Also, it would be better to take the picture in the jackpot room after beating the final boss since you don't want to collect the gold bars. Like guillavoie said, it makes it easier to validate the game was beaten and we can see the final score in one shot. Also, I re-worded the rules to make it more clear that you want to progress as far in the game as possible and that the lower score will take precedence.

I didn't make it very far on my runs. This game is def not meant to be played passively LOL.. Here's my screen for at least a participation point. I'm going to run through this game normally this week and hopefully beat it. I scored 3300 and made it 1/4 way on the bridge stage. There's a bit of glare from the ceiling light making it hard to read so I added the final screen as well.

I can't believe I wasted an entire evening on this.

The hitboxes on the final boss are bullshit. It took while before I was finally able to blow his glasses off, and the part where you have to shoot off his spinal columns nearly ended my last life because where you're supposed to hit is so precise.

What's funny is that without thinking I collected all of the gold bars after the first time I beat him. That time my score was around 450,000 before all the gold, so I wouldn't have been in first regardless, but still. Sucks to see your score basically double after you've been trying to kill as few enemies as possible. 

Maybe I just suck. Probably gonna try again this weekend once I cool off, my controller deserves some reprieve from the abuse.

Man, I wish I had signed up earlier in the year/had noticed the contests hosted here earlier. I would have loved to have tried my hand at Dr. Mario or Tetris, plus it's nice to not have to play something on an emulator. Is there a certain list/order of the games that are upcoming?

^^ There is a spot on the top tiles (about 1/3rd of the way up), where his tounge and fireballs can't hit you, and he can't move any higher. However, you cannot knock off his glasses or hit his eyes from this angle either. So, you have to take a step down, in a gap between his tounges/fireballs, jump fire and quickly move back up a step. Takes practice.

Recently sold my copy of NARC.  It's a decent enough port, but not good enough to keep when I decided to trim my collection.  Only real selling point was the musical score.  Otherwise, it was a bit too annoying (Mr. Big, this means you).

A little over half way there. Getting to the Mr. Big though can be quite tricky trying to avoid killing everyone who appears on screen. You have to pass through 3 levels/floors before you get to the "real" ending boss.
