Okay, maybe it's just me, but it's been happening constantly enough I have to imagine others are running into this.

Seems like 50% of the time when I try to navigate to a forum post, or my profile, or my inbox, on both NA and SA, I get the Security page. It happens randomly. Usually if I click enough it will let me through, but sometimes I just don't bother. It happens on my home PC, work PC, and iPad. It happens in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. I've cleared my cache, relogged, rebooted, and nothing seems to fix it. What is happening?!?

Nope- I get the same issues. Dunno if it's because I use the vintage version.

Using vintage has nothing to do with it; I get the same issues and I am not on vintage. Many have confirmed the same on the other thread about this.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the major SSL outage issues that have been happening all over the world? I know that SSL has not yet been officially implemented here, but with it being a security issue and the overall primary security system used the world over being dinged into only sometimes working worldwide, it's not hard to imagine this might be part of the same thing.

It happens at random regardless of which site you use, and affects Users, Mods, and Admins alike.

It seems it's cause by the certificate being valid only for the www.dainanderson.com... address. It also expired on 15th November, 2018.

You can get free certificates from letsencrypt.org . If your host provider doesn't support it, like godaddy, because they prefer charging you 100$ a year, you can do it by regenerating them every 90 days. The first time it takes, maybe 5 minutes to setup, but after that, it's basically just copy/pasting.

Yeah if you're trying to associate a cert with nintendoage it needs to be very specifically FOR Nintendoage.

dainanderson.com IS using Letsencrypt for the cert on there, but yeah, it expired (very short-lived and not auto-renewing). If they're on the same server that's... kinda weird... but manageable. I don't see the NA site trying to USE the dainanderson.com cert though; where are you seeing that?

I DO see that NA itself is hosted by Godaddy (as well as dainanderson.com). Since you ARE tied to GoDaddy, you SHOULD be able to contact them to help you set up SSL, if you need it.

Was for me too... in the morning, anyways.

I feel lost when it happens. I get confused.... I wander around aimlessly.... It's a sad state of affairs for me, really.
