Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests! We are entering the final block of games for 2015, which means we only have six games remaining (one for each genre) before the 2015 Winter Tournament begins! This week’s game is going to be Alpha Mission. Here are the rules:
-
Play until Game Over
-
When you lose your last life, you will have a very brief opportunity to pause the game to get your score. It is recommended you pause the game as soon as you die to get your score. It is also recommended you play it safe during your last life and continuously capture your score in case you miss the opportunity when you lose your last life.
-
One loop only. Once you reach the final boss (Area 6), pause the game and take a picture of your score. You can't fight the final boss to boost your score. Anyone suspected of playing the game after the loop or fighting the final boss would have his score disqualified..
-
Collecting the “R” icon is absolutely forbidden. This warps you backward in the game, and therefore, creates the option to point rack. If you accidentally collect an “R” icon, your attempt will end. Anyone suspected of playing the game after collecting an “R” icon will have their score disqualified.
-
You can reset a boss fight by going into the special ships selection screen. Don't use this glitch to fight a boss more than once. If you accedentally reset a boss fight after beating him once, your run is over.

GENRE: Shooter/Shoot ‘Em Up
The contest ends Sunday, 11/15/15 at 11 PM NA time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun
