I let him get a goal line TD at the end of the first half. When there's only enough time to get one play off, his run sweep play to the left running behind Anthony Munoz is better than going for a short pass in the same situation.

Score updated. Some improvement. I changed up my strategy a little bit. Swapped between LB and Safety. I believe kicking off for distance is the better game plan. Improved on run backs/punts as well.

I think the most impressive part of your new score is the 100% completion percentage.  I can't remember a game where I had 100% and that many yards.  Well done!

 

I just keep an eye on the coverage. You can pretty much tell when someone is left in the dust.

I wasn't sure how many good TSB players we'd have this week as I know there's a lot of people on NA who aren't big on sports and sports games. 

And I guess the cat is out of the bag on which team will be the contest whipping boy....

Honestly there are SO many games in these contests that are first time playthroughs for me in these contests.  It's refreshing to have a game that I owned and played growing up show up in the contests.  This is such a fun game and still holds up after all these years.  Who knows what that score will look like by the end of the week (I'm hopefully assuming it'll get me in the Top 8 but I've been wrong before haha), either way, I love playing this game and am glad that these contests (which I know is the point) helped reinforce for me why this game is worth playing.  Those play-based animations are still fun to watch.

 

I had this and Tecmo Bowl growing up and anytime my team lost I would avenge them in the games.

What a great idea!  I never did that.  Maybe this would help me with the long, tumultuous road the Lions have towards the Super Bowl ...

 

Haha. And I love in this game that the Patriots suck! Looking forward to when that becomes a reality again.

Thanks! I've actually been gunning for that 100+ point mark for a while. I hadn't given it a shot in a few months, but I managed to get some lucky breaks during that game and finally got it. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets topped by the end of the week, but I'm satisfied to finally score 100 points in a game.

I literally spent all afternoon and evening playing this game over and over....and over.....and over....and was FINALLY able to have another game where I got several breaks at the expense of the CPU. Even if this score is topped,(going to be tough) I may be done for the week anyway. This took a lot of effort and I am worn the hell out. Anyway,time for bed.
