Doesn't look like they are public yet . But they do look awesome. Also has a snes one coming that could potentially work with star ocean. I got one from retrousb before the discontinue but my friend missed out so that would be good for him.
Those boards are now avaiable and rather cheap actually. I would recommend the flash based one, so you don't have to do any soldering at all.

This, is Outer Heaven.

While when you're quoted $55 bucks for Gimmick or $25 for Batman/Joker with the cost of two eproms and a burner or a already flashed degree with flash memory... I'd prefer the later. I've wired and soldered far too many of my own games lol.

if ive read right, im under the impression that the us-prototype (which this patch turns the PAL version into) was rewritten to have full audio without the addon so you also do not need the frontload audio mod?

Correct, the usa proto version only requires an FME7 chip.

Excuse me if I make you guys repeat, but i'm just not certain to have understand. I am new here and I came because you talked about eprom. I am going to launch myself in this project to create my own nes game mr. gimmick. If I buy the Batman ROTJ (with the FME-7 chip inside), what .nes rom I need to download to make the game works with good sound and no graphics glitch? Thanks alot! max

Start with a known good pal rom and apply the patch at the top of this thread. And don't buy a batman cart for this, you can buy a brand new board from www.infiniteneslives.com...

Hi and thanks for your response! here are my new interrogations. I see that this cart supports FME-7 and SUNSOFT-5B (including full sound). The reason I wanted to buy Batman TRODJ was to get the ones that mr gimmick needs. 1-Is the INL-ROM NES reproduction PCB/flash cart comes with the proper mapper, CHR and PRG rom needed for mr. gimmick (or for any other ens game?)? If the final buying price is close to the batman, I think it should be more economic to buy batman because I dont want to reprogram this cart; I want it to leave mr. gimmick in it for ever. What do you think of that?
Questions for Cartridge: 2- Is this repro cart will fit in a rugular empty's nes box (I mean no need to cut the nes cartridge to make it fits inside or is this thing working with a usb plug)? 3- Can I program this cart in the same way as a regular one? I am looking at the buying page (http://www.infiniteneslives.com/aux6.php). I'm not speaking english and i've got hard time trying to understand all these words. 4- Could you simplify for me please? I mean, If I want to get the board, download mr. gimmick's rom on it, close the gray case and insert my cartridge in my nes to play the game (without any pin/transitor modification inside of it): what should I command?
Thanks a lot for your precious time and excuse my mistakes

The simplest option is FME7 board, no extras, use your own eproms with the USA rom.

The repro board will fit most regular gray shells.

You can order boards with a variety of mappers. The one you want is FME-7, no ram. That will support the USA version of Mr. Gimmick (the version with full sound without any extra requirements). If you use the japanese version of the game, you have to order the board with the additional synth chip (the "5B upgrade"). You'll also have to mod your Nintendo to enable the extra sound channels.

You can order the board so it's ready for eproms (not included), which you would have to program and install yourself. This is typically how repros are made from old carts. Or you can order the board with flash memory, which would require you to also buy the flash unit from that same site in order to write the game to the cart.

Ok, i see. Thanks!
What is the cheapiest (lowest in $) eprom that you guys are buying on ebay, for the 28 pins (256k or 128k) and the 32 pins (256k or 128k)?
What eprom programmer should i buy to program a vast kind of eprom (including the low price ones) ? I see that there is a lot on ebay, but i dont want to pay 200$ for a programmer, and the 30$ seems to be crap.

Here is my last quesiton: I am currently looking for eproms. What I need to check on each eprom to know if they are compatible for my nes reproduction (except if it is the good size)?

i want them to fit on the brand new nes board that I will buy on http://www.infiniteneslives.com and on any other donor cart.

thanks a lot again!

Thanks for this patch. Even if the gameplay were terrible (which it is far from), the Tim Follin OST factor really makes it amazing.

You're the best!
