Upgraded score a tad bit thanks to some tips I read in here from mbd39, thanks!

I think that I have my point racking technique worked out so that I should be able to get over a million. I almost did on my last run.

Two think i don't care for in the game:

The greed mechanic. This ends 80% of my runs. I need a spotter.

How easily you can re-exit the secret areas. Seriously.

LOL. I've been screwed too many times  because I forget to move away from a ceiling secret area entrance.

I'm enjoying this one. I wish I had more time to spend with Richardhead's mom it.

I broke the million mark, finally... using the very difficult point racking strategy that I worked out. Still only puts me in 4th place for the time being.

I am going to give this game one last spin tomorrow to try to break the 3 millions mark then I will try to debug it to figure out how that GDV is calculated.
This game is fairly fun and easy, even if the inputs still feel a bit weird.

Well Ive got maybe 12 hours by the time I wake up to try and score a million. What are my odds?

played for for about an hour. What's with this guy? I like the lil dude but what's he filled with damn helium for goodness sake?! What's he floating for jumping into the damn ceiling! Lil jumping bean won't stay on the ground. Fuck this game and fuck an avs! Better give me a front loader asshole. All this fancy graphics and what not making me dizzy. Lol!! Hahaaaa!!! 

Damn treasure chest open, don't open, open on one side, open when you jump on em. Gtfoh. How the hell am I suppose to keep track if I'm green or blue or purple. 

Ill try again tmrw. Piss ass game. Looks good on my ole trusty Vizio though. Plays nice to on my fancy new gizmo machine Nintendo

I'm guessing I missed something.  Got to this room, found the sphinx, which opened the door to my right, but couldn't find any other way out of the room.  Also got the S coin here, but I think I only got three total.  Oh well...

What level did you get to? Where the heck did all those points come from?

I got my score fairly early in the game, but I had to burn lives and point rack like crazy to get it.



 

I don't know what level I was on. 23 maybe? I went through and got every damn balloon, every chest (until near my end because I got tired of getting them all), I got every 50,000 point bonus. This took forever over 4 days of playing a little at a time. I saw a few S coins, but was only able to get two or three because you have to be green. I didn't feel like looking at a guide, so I guess I'm done with this one.

Edit: Oh, and apparently there are crystal balls or something that I didn't see at all.

The S coins must be important for GDV. I got a lot of them (you can grab them again after you lose a life) so my GDV wound up being higher than yours, even though I only reached level 7 or 8.



 

You would probably need a guide or be very lucky to find the first crystal ball since it requires jumping on fire in level 7 to get the sphinx and the hidden room. http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Migh...

Gotta love it when a game requires that you touch something that would ordinarily kill you.

The game only has 17 levels, so you must be confusing sections with levels.
That is a very impressive score.  

Bert's score shouldn't be too surprising. The gameplay involves grabbing items while evading enemies and that is right up his alley. He got 274k at NES Pac-Man.

Seriously?! I swear I played forever. Do you know what I missed Bea? Do you have to get S coins or the crystals to get past the room I was in?

I know that you don't need crystal balls or S coins to beat the game, only to get the better endings.

Hmmm...I'm pretty sure I jumped on every block and only when I found the sphinx did a door appear. I had 5 lives left I think, and I burned them getting the sphinx and going into the treasure room and then jumping around a lot until I died.

I only played this game 3 times, so I am trying to pinpoint at which room you are.
I will look at the strategy guide to figure it out and post it here once I figure that out.
 

That is stage 17. The last section before the end of the game. You'd get to rescue the king and get the bad ending.
To leave that room, you need to get the Sphinx that is inside that secret room. It is on the bottom chest, iirc, and the chests were invisible from what I remember.
