Super Smash Video Games has moved to a new location with much more floor space, which means we now have a wider selection of inventory, more room for tournaments (and casual play) and an arcade! Our new address is 5449 South Tacoma Way in Tacoma WA. Tomorrow 5/11 we will be having a grand re-opening party to celebrate and want to invite all you NAers who can attend to please come by and celebrate with us. We will be having several tournaments throughout the day, as well as a raffle from 2-3pm. One free ticket will be given for anyone who likes us on Facebook as well as extra tickets being available for $2 apiece. Check the image below for the goodies we'll be giving away! (All photos are clickable for actual size/greater detail.)

But, you ask, what about the games? You sell games, right? Anything someone who posts on Nintendo Age might be interested in? Well, I dunno, take a look at these pics and you tell me:

Looks like an Earthbound, a Mega Man X2, a Mega Man 7, a Soul Blazer, an Ogre Battle, a Snow Bros, a Duck Tales 2 and Chip and Dales 2, there's also some Battletoads action going on there, both Lufias, both Breath of Fires, the first four Final Fantasys, and a ton of other great stuff.

This is our handheld and obscure games case, so we've got a bunch of nice handheld systems here, including a Nomad with battery pack, as well as some rare titles like Towers II, Alien vs Predator and Highlander for the Atari Jaguar system; Aero Blasters, Ninja Spirits and Neutopia for the Turbo Grafx; and some nice WonderSwan titles (and more on the two back shelves devoted to imports). Of course we also have great GameBoy/Color/Advance/DS and 3DS games as well as PSP and Vita titles.

Yes our N64 rare case is looking a bit bare in this pic. We did some reorganizing while this photo was taken (I have an old Daguerreotype camera so you can move things around while the photo is being taken, haha), but it will be filled to the brim with goodies when you come by. There's also various other stuff in there too, like Saturn, PC, and various collector's edition stuff.

This is a view of about 2/3rds of the store. We have racks of NES, SNES, N64 and Genesis carts, Gamecube, Wii and Wii-U; Xbox and 360; and Playstation, PS2 and PS3 games; as well as Atari, TI-99, Turbo Grafx, and two shelves of imports! (And lots of other goodies.) We have a CIB Steel Battalion, various CIB consoles, a JVC X'Eye with all original hook-ups and controller, and so so so much more! Yes, that's a Mario head mask used in an original commercial! (Likely not for sale tho.)

Yet another goodies display, along with a bit of our back wall of accessories. CIB stuff in this one, as well as some overstock that didn't fit in our other display cases. We also have an arcade room with two-player Initial D, Carnevil, TMNT, a couple Neo Geo cabs and other fun games.

So come by and check out our store! The address is:

Sounds awesome! If I wasn't about 3,000 miles away I'd stop on by. Good luck with the store!

My buddy Andy is the N64 freak in the group so we're sure to have a nice selection. We've been thinking about doing rentals but don't have the set up for it right now.

Does "punked for your lunch money" count as a discount?

I'm picturing some teenagers seeing a sign for a Tetris tournament and thinking, "Oh cool, this should be fun." They then show up and get mollywhopped by Robin himself. Someone should record this.

Haha normally I keep myself out of small competitions (I'm running this one)... but I think Kevin Birell is driving down for this (top grandmaster in the USA, the game with invisible Tetris) so I may have to make it interesting

We now have a disc buffing machine, so if you're in the area and need some discs cleaned, come by. Cost is only $3 (or $5 if the disc is in really bad shape and needs a second spin). This is a professional machine that makes discs look good as new.

We're moving locations to a bigger, better spot, on the corner of 56th & South Tacoma Way. Everyone in the WA area should follow us on Facebook and come to the grand opening. We're going to have a raffle for our Facebook followers and give away some cool prizes. Of course, you should come to check out the new store too b/c it's going to be amazing. We'll have an arcade room for one thing, as well as double the inventory we currently have (or triple or more). Details are a bit sketchy right now as we're still working on getting the new place ready to go, but will likely be in a few weeks.

We have been to the new location. Retail store is so much bigger, arcade room has great potential. The only downside is parking.

There is plenty of parking across the street where Starbucks and Grocery Outlet are located (those stores don't actually own the parking so no worries about parking there).
