I have a programming background from college (mostly C/C++), but never anything as complex as a video game. Learning 6502 won't be a problem, but, honestly, the whole idea of creating graphics / sprites / characters etc. is really intimidating. I see some manuals on Amazon, but they all seem very geared to C++. Anyone have a recommendation on a general introduction to game design and programming?
