Hey everyone and welcome to Block 3! Our first game of this block is going to be one of the most popular games on the NES, Tetris. Here are the rules:

Play on Type A
Start on Level 9
Highest score wins

The contest ends Sunday, 4/29/12 at 10 PM NA time. Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. I saw Thor break the world record on a tengen machine last year at cowlitz. The "awesome" part about it was, the only reason Thor lost was because he got bored, started talking to a couple of us and gave up.

That's a nice score to shoot for Tom.

As of myself, I love Tetris, but this is one of the game that I always believed I'm too average at to have any kind of pride to defend against anyone. I'll give it a few shots for fun, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to raise my play to a competing level among the experts.

I seriously hope Robin and Thor will actually chime in with scores

Same. I definitely want to see some huge scores this week. It would be really cool if Robin and Thor play (or any other Tetris masters)!

I think Tetris is one of those games that you have to play a LOT of to play well. I could never keep my interest long enough to put in the time.

Same here. I only played Tetris a few times back in the 80s because I couldn't stay interested.
