I wonder what the players think, when a team takes you out of the playoffs do you want them to lose asap or win everything?

Ouch. I feel for you man. The Sharks are the biggest choke artists I think I've ever seen in my 21 years of watching hockey. They've had some great teams and I figured a few of them at least should have made a final,but they always fall apart come playoff time. I do hope they are able to put it together and win a cup at some point.

I have watched long enough that it is no longer "ouch", it is "of course"    Post season is like pre season, extra games that don't matter!

I wouldn't really call the Sharks chokers. They choked this year, yeah for sure, but they're basically a good regular season team missing the leaders to gut out playoff wins. The emergence of Pavelski and Couture will be great for them going forward as they either trade Marleau and Thornton (heard rumours already) or they end up keeping them until they retire. I'd imagine it would be frustrating to have a team get to the conference finals as often as they have, and get hammered each time.

I think they are more streaky than chokers. Just can't keep it together long enough to make it to the finals. Old guys got insane contracts before playoffs, so trading them would be really hard/expensive. At least Havlat (Mr Glass) is gone.

I'm no longer pained by being a Sharks fan; Boyle's an Islander for the moment.

This year's problem was zero leadership. I don't think I've ever seen a team play with less soul than the Sharks in game 5 of that series. They'd better hope somebody like Pavelski gets the C and lights a fire under their asses in the playoffs. They have most of the pieces (might need to shore up their D some more).

I've always felt for the most part that their teams were soft. They've had lots of talent,scored lots of goals,but come playoff time they crumple. The Sharks just remind me of the early 90s Red Wings teams.....great regular season team,but folded up in the playoffs. Hopefully the Sharks can get the right pieces and put it all together soon as I like the team and would like to see them do well.

Weird seeing talk about the Leafs in a playoffs thread....

I feel for ya man, the Leafs are pretty much an 8th-10th place team, and I don't see them getting any better the way they draft. Nonis screwed up with Clarkson and Phaneuf, and he seems to just grab random players from the free agent market and sign them to deals, hoping the team will get better.

At this rate it looks like Nonis is just making us crash and burn so we can land Connor McDavid

Knowing Nonis, he'd trade down to draft some European instead.

Toronto is bad, but still better than the Oilers.
