I thought it would be good if everyone posted their eBay names on here so that we could watch not to outbid one another on things we really don't need. I know quite a few people, but others I don't. Maybe this can even be a sticky for everyone's benefit.

Curious why you (and some other collectors too) use two different accounts.

My username's the same anywhere you go, easy

Well, the frogman one was my original one, and when I started to want to sell, I didn't want any negatives on my account because the seller was bad and I didn't leave them positive. So I created a separate one so that I could freely negative a bad seller without it hurting my seller account. Usually people don't mind selling to people with negatives, but your sales will suffer if you have negatives as a seller

Ebay is the only site I use a different user name for, and it's simply because my old roommate had the name/password stored on her computer when she moved out. Fearing my account would be hijacked, I simply changed the username and password for my account. It is now humanoid_typhoon_vash_the_stampede

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

This is a great Idea and should DEFINETLY Be a sticky. I have been wanting to make a post like this for awhile as well. And i always thought it would be a great idea if we ALL formed together as a pack, and tried to not bid against each other on items that we could just wait on and get the next one around. I have always tried to NEVER bid against anyone from Nintendoage and actually never had until today. Im sorry burdger i had too :-(. lol its a long story, but i was in the middle of getting an auction yanked, and the guy agreed to my offer, but then he stated he was gonna yank it for me in the auction, Then somebody i dont know bid on it, and then burdger placed a bid in the middle of it, lol and to make a long story short the guy came back to me and said he recieved another outside offer and there are bids on it and hes gonna let it run, so now i gotta fight for it lol. But anyways in ANY other case i would never legitametly bid against another NA user especially if they laid down a first bid (stake). I would simply move on :-) And have been ever since i joined :-) I think it would be great if we all did this as well and keep the prices low for everyone :-) IMO

oh one more thing..... i guess there are somewhat exceptions for any items like a CIB ntsc Stadium Events etc, stuff that dont get listed but like one time a year, you cant really not bid on it if you really want it and must have it etc.? So i dont necessarily know where to draw the line with something like this, but i guess everyone could try and do their best :-) and try not to bid on every single cib game if you already have it, cause then everyone who dont have it and obeys to this rule, will never get a chance at it. so i dunnno, ill stick to my pack tho :-)

If you're talking about that boxed lot, it's not a big deal because I dropped out of it. Were you the $150 offer? If so, I'm sorry I screwed it up for you. I told him it would go for much more, and I'd even offer $160. If I had known it was you I would have left it alone.

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.
