Captain Skyhawk Regarded as a good or bad game?

Captain Skyhawk is pretty rad. I liked it because it gave me confidence at shoot'em ups as a kid.

Hmmm... I don't think I ever gave it much respect. This thread has me questioning my whole Captain Skyhawk reality.

I don't even own it. Will keep an eye out from now on.

Its 2 bucks. And shooters/airplane games are impervious to the hype effect. I remember a reading an extremely enthusiastic thread about sky shark. Its still 2 bucks, and its a taito game. 

Edit: And yes, to confirm your suspicions, I stumbled upon an old warehouse while fishing last week and came across 10,000 copies of captain skyhawk and sky shark. 
 


Shmups in general are one of the most expensive genres to collect. They keep going up in price. For whatever reason NES shooters are usually cheap except for Gun Nac, Sqoon and Zombie Nation.

Agree.. I'd include S.C.A.T. in there too though. That's another one that has gotten a lil pricey.

Captain Skyhawk is one of my favorite NES shooters. It's also (imo) one of the few very cheap games that's also very good.

SCAT is a badass game. One of my favorite games that I had never heard of until I got into collecting.
