^ more like 10K for the box matt. This is seriously not something to complain about condition on, especially not the seal. The box looks solid enough, and if this is real, which it seems to be gettin closer to, then this deal is a no-brainer.

Impossible to tell for sure with those pictures, but to me the side seal look legit. But what does it even matter as everyone else says. Even if it's a reaseal, you'd still come out ahead.

The only thing that strikes me as odd, is that the name that he wrote on the paper, "Josh Kessler", looks like it's been photoshopped there. It just sorta looks out of place compared to the rest of the image.

And Josh, did you ask the seller any questions about what he collects or why he's selling? You might be able to grab some more goodies from him because it's highly unlikely that anyone just has a sealed SE... maybe that's his dupe that he's trying to offload

I'd be kind of worried, that seal looks to potentially be a reseal, assuming the contents are in fact the game and manual that's a great deal. But you'd have to open it to know for sure. It's a tough decision.

^ Well usually that'd be the case, but I know of at least one member that has a 10k bounty on the box alone (maybe even higher now?) so even just a box would be one hell of an awesome deal.

^Seems like legit to me. But a big chunk seems to be missing in the upper part of the back. It looks almost opened. But the box is still more than $3000 so even is it's a Silent Service cart inside it's not THAT bad.

Edit : You're too fast jone.

It could be resealed and filled with saw dust and still be a good deal.

Maybe it's a reseal with a Myriad inside .

Go now, tell us all about it when you've got it in hand.

Seriously!

I think most of the jackholes have been weeded out, but the last time an awesomely priced SE came around, how many folks backdoored Ant? At least one.

Here's to hoping for the best, that'd be a terrific Christmas present for ya.

Edit: Does the box appear to be damaged in the back center or is it just me?  Perhaps that is why the price is so low... (not that you can be really picky with this one)

does it matter? $3500 is a steal

I zoomed in on each pic thousands of times and it is definitely not photoshopped.  It's a legit picture for sure.

^It's just that the color looks way more vibrant in the name than on the box. Maybe the box is a little bit faded or something.

That's what I was thinking, with the color of the signature being more vibrant than anything on the box.   Maybe he used a blue sharpie to write the name (which has a bolder color).

Depending on the distance, I would rocket out and take a look. As it's been said numerous times, and I will echo it, even with the pics that you have it looks to be a pretty sweet deal. I'm cautiously optimistic about this and am interested to see how this pans out.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting more pics. I haven't moved out of "This is too good to be true" mode yet. All I know so far is that he's in the military and needs the money. This is also the time of year when scams are the highest.
