Up for auction is a complete in box Zombies Ate My Zeighbors box variant minus the konami paper work inserts.  Cart, booklet, cart sleeve, plastic, cart inner box, and most importantly box variant are included in this auction.  I am willing to deduct $5 off the final selling price if you do not want the booklet as I have yet to get one for my collection.

I do have a bit of money wrapped up in this, and that is why it is for auction, so with that being said, here are the rules:

Auction will start at a penny ($.01) with no minimum bid (bid what you want)

Winner will pay auction price for game as described, shipping will be additional and there will be a 3% paypal fee for the transaction (gift might be an option, will be worked out with winner, winner will pay actual shipping cost)

US bidders only (international bidders please contact me first)

This auction does have a reserve of $275.00.  If this is not met, it will not sell

I do reserve the right to end this auction at anytime

Ok, on with the pictures and description, I will do the best I can so please ask any questions If I dont answer them here:

Cart:  Perfect!  Does not look like it left the box, no nics, tears, rips, ect.  Excellent shape. 10/10

Booklet: Does have normal wear on edges from being removed and put back into box, but overall very nice.  No tears or rips.  8.5/10

Box:  Overall very nice.  Does show wear on flap where opened in center, but not torn, inside flaps are nice and intact.  Under the "entertainment" little dip in box, a little corner wear on a couple of corners, small wrinkle on back of box in area where it was opened and closed.  But as I said, overall very nice.  7/10

My ultimate goal is for this to end up in a NA members hands that can enjoy this, I do not collect boxes for snes, so this is why it is up for auction.  I wanted to give 1st shot NA and would really rather not put it on ebay, but If it does not bring what I need, I guess I can try that route.  Even if you do not meet my reserve I am very curious what this will/should bring as there are no final auctions for this at least that I could find, so bid away.

Best of luck to all bidders interested, and again ask any questions if needed.  Thanks.

So... why doesn't this auction just start at $275.00? You say right in the title that it will NOT sell unless it reaches the reserve so bidding any amount under 275 is quite pointless. Correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't really make sense to me. Usually a reserve is an unknown number that is set before an auction is started with the bidders hoping to hit that number while still bidding the least amount they can. Just something to think about I guess....

The reserve was not pointless, if I got bids below my reserve, it would show what people are really willing to pay for something like this and help give people a good market value since these do not turn up very often.  Also, it was to let me know if I over paid.  So yes there was a point to the reserve, I would not have advertised the reserve, but in the FAQ, it is required, no hidden reserves are allowed on NA auction.

Well, it's definitely been awhile since I sold my copy (8/10) for $150. And to any SNES collectors out there, this is the best conditioned copy I've ever seen. I won't be bidding, but it could be a long time before you see another one period, and finding a better copy might as well be a dream.

Is that the original manual and cart that goes with this box? This box is the made in mexico production. I would assume at the very least, the cart would have the M/SNS-XXXX-USA part number and not the regular part number, but I can't see for sure in the photos. The manual should have it also.

From the research I have done, all I can find is that the only difference on this variant is the box, so this would be the correct cart/manual for this box. I can take more pics tonight if needed.

If you look at the photo of the back of the box, the box says SNES-P-FA (that's what it looked like to me) but the box is definitely authentic.  The manual on the other hand is the USA manual.  You can tell by the code in the top right of the photo.

xtreme, would you be able to take closer photos of the code on the box and manual and confirm what they say?

The code on the original box is SNES-P-ZA. This one is likely the same. The code on the original game is SNS-ZA-USA. I assume if a new code was assigned for the box and cart, it would follow the convention at the time, which would have been M/SNS-ZAMN-USA (or some other four letters in the middle).

It's possible, although uncharacteristic of the Mexican-made games, that there were a lot of carts and manuals from the first run leftover, and Konami just had new boxes made up. It seems odd they would make a new box and not update the label or manual art if they were producing new carts and manuals.

Does the cart say "made in Mexico" on the label? If not, then either my above hypothesis is correct, or this isn't the cart which originally came in this box.

Those inside flap-edges are nice; I don't think you could do better than that and still have access to the game.

That night the Captain’s granddaughter
Would celebrate her birthday
“I’ve come a long way,” said the Captain,
“From Lost Christabel this night.
Accompanied by my dog familiar,
To blast your rafters with my surprise.
Granddaughter, It’s a foreign mirror
Taken from the jungle by crime!”
