Ok I added a participants list and leaderboard. I chose not to put myself on the leaderboard because I didn't want to upset other participants.

I took a stab at super star wars return of the Jedi... That game kicked my ass! The boss fights take so long. I couldn't get past the 4th stage.

LOL! These games are brutal. The only one I could ever get any real progress in was the empire strikes back, and I think its only becuase its the one I had and played to dearth as a kid. There was a swamp boss, and his health bar went off the damn screen! WTF.

Yeah, those SW games are surprising long, too. Even the first one takes time and it's easily the shortest of the three. The lightsaber will help with some bosses but usually it's a risk versus reward thing where the LS does tons of damage but you typically get destroyed in the process of using it.

Gonna play through a couple now.

Since I don't have all of my games with me I should probably study some videos and try to get through this.

I just beat Super Star Wars. That game is so cheap and the hit boxes are beyond crude. The lizard destroyed me on the initial Cantina Bar fight and then I thought I wouldn't be able to beat him without the highest power-up. I got really lucky (and unlucky [killed him twice as I proceeded to die]) and was able to get past him. The rest of the game is pretty easy. The Sandcrawler and Bar are both really tough levels due to the bosses.

Gonna upload all three pics here in a sec.

Just noticed these threads!  I'll try to make my contribution this year starting with Donkey Kong Country. Love the graphics and the score (dkc2 is even better). I still remember faking sick to skip church just to play this.
I took a pic of the big banana and the late Kaptain K. Rool,  didnt come out right.

No, same difference though, lol. It is Bullseye, the Target mascot. My girlfriend gets them at work for special events etc.

Cleared Darius Twin last night (done so before, but I recorded this no-death run):

I'm going to try and do a whole bunch of 1CC runs of the SNES shooters this year, so stay tuned.

I am going to give Soul Blazer a go. Had it for a few years and never really played it other than to try it out. This will force me to beat it!

Absolutely could not beat this on normal.  Anyways the easy level of Tuff E Nuff has been achieved.

I found a pattern last year for the final boss in Tuff E Nuff, though I don't remember what it was. As SFII clones go, it's got its charm.

I actually kind of like Mystic Quest. Its pretty decent IMO as far as an entry level RPG goes.

And it was almost half the price of other SNES games at the time.  I bought it and Soul Blazer the same day as a kid, very nice buy.

It's a bit too bland for me to recomend as an entry level RPG, I'd prob suggest something like Super Mario RPG or Child of Light first.  But Mystic Quest is enjoyable in a mindless pick up and play kind of way in the same way that Half Min Hero is.

Also the Pirates of Dark Water have been plundered!

Why fox, why! Why did you cancel this show before they found all 13 treasures?!

Edit: Wait, it was ABC and not you.  But I'm still not talking to you over Futurama!
