Hey guys!
This weeks game is Excitebike!

Rules:
I meant mode B ( with other racers)

Do all five qualifying runs (Important, you can choose each when starting a game)
Post pictures of all the runs with your better time.
Add all time together, and it gives your overall time.
Participation = total time : 6 minutes 30 seconds
Method to take pictures:

Press on start immediately after you reach the finish line. The game will be on pause. or

If you beat the default best time of the race, just go back in the race and snap a picture of your best time in the background, with other racers in the screen.

Get your name on the screen and prepare your camera to take the picture.

Take the picture immediately after restarting the game (Characters are hidden when on pause)
You got between 3-4 seconds after you reach the finish line, so be prepared and act fast.

Best overall time wins.

GO SAINTS!!

Jeremy

Aren't there 2 tracks per #? Or do you just mean the 1st track? What's the participation score?

Try to get your camera near to take the picture right at the end of the run, so it will be easier to see other racers in the screen, if possible.

Only the first one.
This way, we'll be able to choose whatever run we want to improve our score.

Oh, and the participation point should be awarded with a total time of 6 minutes 30 seconds.

, it was not a joke!

You got maybe 4 seconds approx, not really a good time range to take picture... I will make a test right now.

The main problem is that otherwise, there's no way to confirm someone is playing in mode b.
Same 3rd time and best time.

I just found a good way to get that picture.

You can press on start and pause the game even after the finish line.
Then, you prepare your stuff to be ready to take the picture right after pressing again on start. (Must restart the game cause the characters are invisible in pause mode)

That should do the job.

Or how about this. Just go back to the track after getting your best time. It shows your high score on the background.

Some people might not get the "best time" for each race, this might be a problem as well.

Also, what is with track #1? There are two tracks you place. The first must be a warm up? What are we to do about that one?

"Do all five qualifying runs (Important, you can choose each when starting a game)"

There's basically two races for each number, we just do the qualifying run.
Once you're done with race #1, hit reset and start on race #2, and so on.
This way, we can do each race whenever we like instead of going through all races.

lol, the first couple times I got a decent run, I was too celebratory to remember to pause, then when I finally paused.. I missed the window for taking the picture! Don't forget unpausing takes a second or so too, cause theres not enough time if you take the pic too early after you unpause

I think the honor system has been working fine so far. It should do good here.

Honor system always "looks" to work fine.

The thing here is just, "take the picture as best as you can", if not, take it "after" where it shows the place on the podium etc... The honor system will still be considered there, but if you can take it at the best time, go on, it is not that hard.

It is still a good idea to pause the game at the finish line to take the picture, cause even the "podium" screen is not displayed long.

Beating the best time makes it legit. Easiest way to take the picture, if you beat the best time.

That one sounds good for people with shitty camera like mine, I need to take 5 shots of my TV before it works...

And guillavoie, please don't make any comments, I know i will not win this one .

Ah, I didn't know they all had two, ok. I think we got everything figured out now. Game on!

No ones playing or what? This needs a bump I guess.

I'll get a score later tonight to start that contest up.
C'mon guys, everyone on their NES, let's race against the clock!

Yeah I know, that thing is crappy.

I am able to take about four pictures after getting through the finish line, and most of the time get the score when it is displayed.

But, if you beat the "Best Time", don't worry about this, and just reset your NES and get back in the course. Take a picture of your Best time in the background with other racers in the screen. That's the easiest and most convenient way to get the pictures, but you need to beat the default "Best Time" of the game to be able to do it.

If I play this week I'm taking a safety picture before I unpause the game, just so I know I've at least got something concrete.
