It just looks like a Donkey Kong Land III pirate cart, right?

I don't think it is Donkey Kong Land III. The cartridge sticker looks that way but the game seems quite different. I may be wrong though. Looks and sounds quite different to me. I'm uploading a video on youtube I'll put it up shortly.

I don't really have much background info, I bought it in a bulk lot in Australia about 6 years ago, with some licensed games and a few multicarts in the lot as well.

If the actual gameplay is different than DK Land III, then that's pretty neat. I couldn't tell from the screenshots since I'm not all that familiar with the series. You should compare DK Land III and this cart. If the stages are different, then I'm sure someone would like to have it. If it's a pirate of DK Land II, then it's really not worth anything. Maybe a couple dollars.

I think it's a pirate of Donkey Kong Country 3, right? Like the snes/gba version.  Sorry to disappoint, but it doesn't seem to be a prototype.

The serial code is for NFL Blitz 2001 on GBC, haha.

You're right, it looks sort of like a unlicensed port of the SNES game for the original game boy.

Anyone have any info on it though? Has it been dumped? I'd really like to trade it or sell it so someone can dump it at some stage if it hasn't been. It's still quite cool imo

That pirate is VERY different from the real DKL3, there's definitely going to be interest in a dump once word spreads around.

Right now I'm after any GB/GBC/GBA games loose which I don't already have, boxed DS/3DS games I don't have. PAL or USA.

Non-Nintendo stuff I'm after is PAL or USA Mega Drive / 32X / Sega CD games I don't already own (CIB preferred but I'm fine with loose as well). Also 2600 loose carts I don't own. And any PS1-PS4 USA or PAL games.

Even happy with stuff like loose manuals/boxes, and consoles accessories etc.
