Hello!!  Long story short:  I'm soooooo NOT new to collecting but sort of avoided this site for... years, now.  However a couple years ago when I had a SUPER mint CIB Chubby Cherub & CIB Sqoon (among MANY other things) on ebay, my auctions were viewed on here a good bit.

On ebay, I'm also 8bitdreams - so please use that as a reference to my credibility if need be.

Just thought I'd join, get to know people, and make some contacts for when I unload other gems.

Oh - btw - the reason I "avoided" it was to keep my collection from growing too large!!

Okay, I was just gonna ask why you stayed away I actually completed my collection with a lot of help from the great guys here...for trade and for very good prices.

What kind of shape is your Giant Size X-Men in? Nice gaming shelf!

haha - I avoided it because I used to be trying to collect every North American cart and after getting halfway, realized that's not for me. So, my pride and joy is having the "launch of '85" stuff - all 30 CIB Black Box games, a boxed Deluxe Set (first run - I'll explain this when I get a pic up), boxed ROB, CIB Silver games & Mike's (with the letter of course), etc. That SNES Zelda in the pic is sealed, as is the Majora's Mask behind it. The Stack-Up is CRAZY mint... actually, 90% of the Black Box games came from the same original owner!!

I'll definitely get more pics to show you guys and girls, it's very nice to be chatting with people who appreciate this sort of thing. My friends like the nostalgia but don't quite "get it"... haha.

dangevin - the X-Men isn't gian-sized but it's the reprint of the first issue and is from the late 70's. condition is ok. I'm not a big comics guy but thought that one was cool.

OH - I have almost every early Nintendo Power too as well as some other oddities. Thought that was worth mentioning in light of the comic book talk...

Pop's got a graded 9.4, a non-graded 9.2, and 8.8, and I believe he has like 2 more, lol. If only I were into comics as I am VG's...

Thanks everyone! As soon as I get some free time I'll get my collection better represented on here and maybe work on some trades. One thing I've needed for a long time is a box for Contra Force. Other than a "Super 190-in-1" and a NWC Repro cart, I don't really put loose carts in that case so poor Contra Force has been sitting in a closet, watiting, for quite some time. haha!

No, I don't have a youtube channel but I've been using the name 8bitdreams on ebay since January, 2008.  I changed it [my ebay name]after acquiring a MASSIVE collection that had a CIB Chubby Cherub, Sqoon, Arkanoid, Ninja Kid, Muscle, Stack-Up and all kinds of other goodies!  Before that, I was on ebay for years with another name.

I should have joined this site back then, when my items made it on here, to make friends and establish more trade partners.  I would like to migrate away from ebay a bit, their fees and rules are getting ridiculous and taking the fun out of things...

That game was actually the last black box "box" I acquired and yes, they did.  Tough one to find!  What's it going for nowadays?  It's been about two years since I got it and I never looked again...
