Sometimes people disappear from the forums for months or years on end, and curiosity makes you wonder what happened to them.  Maybe some people can chime in and provide updates on certain guys, or ask about other people that they wonder about as well. 

Some people I wonder about:

NGD - Used to be the biggest poster around, got married and hasn't been on much lately.  I assume he still has his collection and just doesn't add to it anymore?

JD (Elijah) - This is someone I genuinely worry about.  He posted a few threads about being in/out of the hospital, problems at home, and then completely went MIA in the middle of a weight loss contest (which he was running).  I don't think he was banned, but he hasn't been around in months and I hope he's alive and well somewhere.

Dangevin - Used to post the NA price guide years ago and has slowly faded away.  I'm assuming he's like NGD, still has a collection and just doesn't add to it / post anymore.

Any ideas or other members you wonder about?

JD had a lot of personal issues and I think as life became overwhelming, he decided NA just didn't fit into his life at the moment (and I don't mean that to sound negative, he's just taking care of himself, as far as I know), and NGD is big into the homebrew beer scene, I believe, and his free time shifted from gaming to that.

NGD bought a house and got married and realized that he wanted to change his focus in life. He now is a craft beer enthusiast and is slowly selling his NES collection (I think).

Laserman, where for art thou?

He's been MIA for awhile, but he did show up briefly in Oct / November.  Got into some heated political / religious debates and said he wasn't coming back, or at least taking a long break again.

I like the concept of this thread because I used to see a few people post a lot when I lurked for the long while before joining or even after I shortly joined.

The one I always wonder about is Will (Jumpman), the crazy Canadian that sold off his amazing collection, went backpacking for a year with that money, fell in love to a Korean girl, and got married. If I ever sell my collection in its entirety, that is what I plan to do. I know Will surely isn't into collecting anymore, but I am still curious what he is up to now, seeing as I view him and his exit as sort of a legend in itself.

Sometimes it feels as though it's a whole different era on the NA forums from when I joined. Some folk's have faded away, and several new members replace them.
When I first joined I remember RetroBasement posted quite heavily.

I bought a lot of his collection. He still has tons of pieces remaining.

This was the first guy I thought of when I read the title to this thread. It seemed like he was really active while compiling his NES collection, but once he finished the loose set he disappeared.  I was also curious as to what happened to him.

He's still around, did a trade with him at the beginning of October.  He said he has a new position with his current job and is no longer at a computer like he used to be.  So he's more of a lurker now than a poster.

Lots of great names in this thread and lots of questions, but few answers so far.  Hoping someone has some intel on any of the other members!

As for Missclawful, she had to sell her collection for financial reasons, last I remember.  Haven't really seen her at all since that happened, hope it all worked out for her.

He felt as though he was treated unfairly due to a HOS nomination and he rage quit NA. He may be active on other gaming forums, but I haven't seen anything from him in quite some time. Oddly, I was just wondering how he's doing the other day. Shame he felt the need to leave.

I wonder how JHawkZZ is doing. Brother Nights was going pretty strong there for a while. Hope he is doing well.

My understanding is that Missclawful was living out of her car for awhile and doing perler bead art through Etsy I think to make ends meat.  Several of us in chat tried to get some funds together to help her (i.e. make expensive perler bead orders so it'd give her funds and wouldn't feel like a handout) but we never knew how to get ahold of her for it since she left here.

I also miss themotherbrain.

She was selling some awesome cross-stitch work to raise some money, and I was able to snag one just before she logged off. I've been wondering about her ever since. Hope she's alright.

He is doing really well. I just visited him & his family a few months ago. He has a awesome house & land. I also miss Missclawful. Did anyone have her address maybe send a card. I loved doing gaming challenges with her
