Alright, so here we go with pictures and titles!

The Immortal:  Two builds, same build date

F-15 Strike Eagle:  I put the stickers on the EPROMs before taking a picture

Rockin' Kats

Flight of the Intruder

Star Wars, the first game

Skate or Die 2

Robin Hood.  Although this was clearly created by Arcadia, it unfortunately has the "Prince of Thieves" stuff already in it.  I'll have to dig deeper into this one to see if there are differences, I assume there will be.

Heavy Shreddin'.  Has a VERY cool per-production label on it.  No end label script or catalog number on it.

Felix the Cat.  Loose PCB with Hudson anti static bag.  Very cool!

Qix.  No exterior label at all.

Top Players' Tennis.  Very cool front label.

Dragon's Lair.  Two of the screw holes have been soldered so that it cannot be opened without damaging it.

Power Blade.  Early tests reveal that it likely doesn't have many (if any) elements of Power Blazer in it.

Vice:  Project Doom.  Cool Sammy rear sticker.

"Simpsons".  Prototype of Bart vs Space Mutants.  This game sucks just as bad as a proto as when it was a retail release!

Thunder and Lightning

Batman:  Return of the Joker

G.I. Joe.  The first Taxan Joe game.

World Champ.  Although the proto clearly states that this is the final version of the game, it came with a VERY cool prototype manual.

And the two best...

War on Wheels!  No idea why Last Ninja is also listed, unless this board was used to test both games.  Very happy it ended up with this set of chips if that is the case

Mini Putt!  Our second unreleased game from the lot.  Very fun, no idea why this one never saw a US release.

Hell to the fucking yes, this was one of the best hauls we've had.  It wasn't cheap, but it was totally worth it.  Looks like my bathroom remodel is going to have to wait

I wondered why I can't get one protoype... it's because you guys buy them all up! Ha, nice stuff as always... but you guys didn't snag that Adventure Island 3 demo also? That seller was located in MA and it was a Hudson Soft loose board just like your Felix the Cat.

I'm no detective, but obviously that's got to be the same seller. I wonder if he sold anything else before you guys go to him.

If a prototype sells on eBay and we're the number two bidder, it's usually pretty easy to guess who number one was...

The end price of that auction killed us too.  It ended much higher than a lot of recent proto sales (totally my fault of course, I bid at a price I thought I was sure to win it at), so the seller was looking to get a similar price per game.  Super nice guy and was really good about negotiating a price.

He said he had 5 times as many protos years back but never thought they'd be valuable.  I would love to find out what he had!

Full blown color and stuff?  Not too often.  I have a a few with early art though:

And Mason's SCAT

I know I have a 007:  The Duel proto for the Genesis that has a pre-production clam shell art, and I know of proto NES boxes (Tale Spin off the top of my head, though I know there are others).  I have some ones with really bizarre hand drawn stuff, but nothing else that really looks like a proof of concept.

whitetrashshayno:  Mega Man 2 was literally the first proto we ever bought.  How about if you find me, I buy you a beer instead of you killing me and we call it even?

I know Matt and I are a little behind in our Summer of Protos, so we'll do our best to release something soon!

Nope, I'm an idiot, just a misprint on my part.  Sorry about that, good catch!  I'll change it now.

Unfortunately, my main gaming rig isn't set up yet, so I can't really test these as fully as I'd like at the moment.  I have a TV stand coming Saturday though, so I should be able to dig a little deeper into these soon.

Thanks Seth!

Bump!

Just got this guy in yesterday:

Godzilla 2 prototype with proto manual! I'm pumped about this one, Matt and I love late release NES protos. One of the coolest thing sI noticed when I was checking out this cart is how familiar it looked. Dream has a copy that looks nearly identical, but his doesn't have the "No. 2" written at the bottom. I always love seeing protos that appeared in groups, especially when they get discovered so distantly apart.

Got some real cool stuff on the way, so stay tuned
