Waah? I don't understand what a 3-year old is going to do with that but impale himself. Kinda like Silent Night Deadly Night. Lol.

I just bought Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.

Reading has become progressively difficult for me over the few years I've been on this earth, I figure the only way to fix the problem is to read.

This book (and movie) inspired one of my favorite songs, so I figured I'd give it a read. It looks interesting.

Yesterday I got a couple of board games. (I'm into collecting old board games)

-Forbidden Bridge (Complete) - $5
-Anti Monopoly (Complete) $4
-Monopoly Bass Fishing Edition (Missing player tokens) $4

I was kind of disappointed about the missing player tokens in the Monopoly Bass Fishing Edition, but I can't complain about anything, because I got a complete Forbidden Bridge for five bucks!

I picked up a few things cheap over the last 2 days. Picked up a bunch of mega man comic books for .50 each at a comics/video game store. A little bag of Mario kart toys for $1 at a thrift store. Went to a pawn shop and got ps2 Suikoden III and Atelier Iris for $3 each; both complete and very nice condition.

I once picked up 4 tomas kinkade canvases for 300 dollers each with their certificates of authenticity from a yard sale.

i dont know why he sold then so cheap but i couldnt pass them up cause im quite a sucker when it comes to tomas kinkades work.

The christmas cottage limited signed edition 550
golden gate bridge San Francisco
the fisherman's wharf San francisco
brookside hideaway

i was going to sell two of them but decided to keep them after tomas kinkade died in 2012.

So, I had a day off from work today and decided to hit the thrift stores as soon as they opened. At a thrift store I dug through a huge box of cds and found Prince cds. Paid $2 each for them. Hit goodwill and found samurai jack season 1 for $3.93.

Sony Walkman CIB for $5 at thrift.

I think I underpriced it as it sold in under an hour.

It was pretty cool. Needed a new belt to play tapes i think. radio worked like a champ.

These things are collectible, so are old school boom boxes.

Gaurdians of th Galaxy really boosted interest in the walkmans.

Darn...another easy moneymaker has been exposed.  Been buying and selling Walkmans for about 3 years.  Good pickup!

Got an early 70's Panasonic EIAJ-1 Video Tape Recorder with 70+ tapes for under $50. Originally owned by Lake Forest High School. Nothing too interesting on the tapes, but neat to see some late 70's/early 80's tv ads. It does work to an extent but I still have no clue how to run it (or even explain the issues) properly so I'll leave it in the hands of my dad(likes fixing old electronics).

Got 2 Super Betamax decks along with 92 tapes for $20. I truely thought the Sony machine wouldn't power on(previous experiences), but to me and my dad's surprise, all it needs is a cleaning and eventually new belts. Same goes for the Sanyo, but my dad and I find their models to be more reliable in general. Most of the tapes don't have sleeves or cases.  The coolest tapes would probably be the 1979 release of 'Superman' and what appears to be 'Akira' recorded over some random MCA Universal Release.

Finally something interesting to post after a lot of empty searches. Not video games but I am not complaining!

Saw an ad on Craigslist for a garage sale listing some video games, toys and other items. In one pic I saw a few g1 and in the back, a little blurry, a large zip lock bag with at least a few GI Joe's in it.

Bag weighs a bit over 3 lbs. Most of the rubber bands are toast so only half are still together. Have some work ahead of me. Really pleased to get some of these for the collection. I am heading out of town so I can't catalog but a couple snake eyes, cobra commander and others. No destro and only a few accessories.

The bag was not out at first and i was first one there so i asked. The guys dad chimes in how it was inside since they looked one up on ebay and saw it had a few bids up to 35 bucks. Still... they brought it out and sold it. Altogether it was less than a buck each.

At an estate sale I got these. They were not cheap but happy to have them. Two of the pamphlet ones are later printings. The rest are first. Likely overpaid or a least paid the going rate but when am I finding these locally?

Awesome pickups yecul !

I'm new to D&D and I've been looking to buy some oldschool stuff like art books and guides. If I see something like what you picked up I'll definitely jump on it !

Great day at the garage sales. Stopped at three sales and scored at two. First one I stopped at I scored this TI-84 Plus Silver Edition for $5!

Second one I got these B&W Matrix 805's for $10!!! These are difficult speakers to find, and will go quite nicely with my restored Sansui 9090 and my ADS L810s.

I ordered new jumpers for the other speaker, they actually cost me more than the speaker pair did!

Dude, that's a hell of a deal for those speakers.
