For anyone who is interested at Target you can get the PlayStation Classic for the low price of $19.99. I always told myself if it went below $20 I would get one, how about you guys?

At that price I'm in. Almost got it at $24.99. Thanks.

Nope, this is my PS1 Amiibo and I'm never opening it. Finally the price I'm willing to pay

People love to hate on this thing - but honestly, it is TOTALLY worth 19.99 in my opinion. I'm still pretty happy with mine   Maybe it's not for everyone - whatever. I think it has a ton of great content for 19.99.

Can it be hacked to add other emulators? I'm looking to get a raspberry pi4 but if this can do PS1/N64 well enough then I'll go this route.

-------------------------

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.

Yes it can.  Not sure if it can handle N64 games though. Might be some slow down.

Yeah, I'd imagine N64 will have compromises, but then again, it usually does anyway.

That's the exact reason I was an instant buy when it dropped to $30. Haven't tried N64 but I wasn't aiming to emulate anything that new aside from PS1.

I had the impression that the SNES Classic emulates PS1 better than the PS Classic manages to do.

(and no way either of those machines does a passable job with N64)

I bet you are correct.  Someone with more techncial knowledge of both machines would have to weigh in here to be certain though.

Actually, my cousin has a SNES mini with a couple of N64 games on it.  It did a great job with Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 (the only two games I tried out).  I'm sure the emulation coverage of the system overall is pretty poor, but it -did- do a passible job of at least a few games

Definitely surprised that they managed that, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that "passable" emulation of N64 on that system is limited to a small handful of the library, probably with some compromises with the actual graphic modes supported.

What did your cousin do for a controller?
