I've managed to reduce the amount of slowdown on SGnG, through some cycle optimizations, and converting it to a fastROM game.  I haven't got rid of all the slowdown, but atleast it doesn't lag with 2 wolves and 1 fire skeleton, or by throwing a weapon at them a few times.

Uhmm... you think you could do something similar? I mean, like... speed up Ghosts 'n Goblins' NES port? I've once found a video in Nico Nico Douga of a guy who managed to get the game to go from 20 fps to 30 fps, but I think he never finished it...
