I've struck Vectrex gold on more than one occasion, but this one takes the cake. I managed to pick all of this up locally:
The box controllers alone are worth more than I paid for everything, but that's not the best part:
These kiosk aren't hard to find, they're impossible. Most examples are French Canadian (with French text of course), or in piss-poor shape. What appears to be crumby cardboard in the front is actually protection of the Lexan that I have yet to remove. It's close to NOS and pretty damn minty.
The kiosk came from a kid who got it from his grandmother. She worked for Milton Bradley and managed to score all this stuff for free. There's a spot to the left of the Vectrex that appears to be used for flyers/brochures so I'm wondering if this was made for CES or something similar. There are also some irregularities on the bottom of the Vectrex itself that leads me to believe it was intended for the kiosk and could be pre-production (There's an identification sticker and some unique brackets that I have never seen on a Vectrex before).
Super pumped for this score, and it's an excellent piece for my budding gameroom.
