I think this custom-made "portable" NES system is pretty sweet, but I'm surprised it's going for as much as it is. I guess there really is no standard price that something custom made would go for, but still....$200?

They're probably banking on the holiday season to bring them a buyer willing to pay that.

That's a really awesome item though; I hadn't seen it before. I wonder how much the parts cost to make that?

If somebody's making those and selling them for a living, I guess the price seems reasonable to me...

The guy selling them makes them. If it's who I'm thinking of he's made almost every system into a custom portable. Some are really nice.

While I agree that they look sweet, do you think it would be comfortable to hold?

I imagine this thing uses a "NES-on-a-chip" like other clones? I'm not to fond of them, I had high hopes for the NEX but after reading what others had to say, sounded like it was no better in that respect.

Nope that one is the real deal NES. You can tell because of the size and of course I know because I've seen the pics of inside.
He makes some kickass portables and so far he is the only one to do a DCp.

All things considered $200 is fair price.

NESp($150-300) + PowerPak($135-160) = fucking awesome

Might be difficult to do Little Mac's uppercut with the start button so far down, but other than that, pretty bad ass.
