Yesterday I bought some Wii games...then turned around and sold all but one to Gamestop for some quick cash.

Yard sale:

Wii Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (CIB, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, and Saudi Arabia version but plays in US Wii?)
Wii Mario Kart Wii (CIB)
Wii Super Mario Galaxy (CIB)
Wii Super Mario Galaxy 2 (CIB)
Wii Super Paper Mario (CIB)
Wii Zack & Wiki (CIB)

Paid $8 for all, kept the Zelda and sold the rest for $20. The Zelda is an odd one...totally says it's for those countries but it still plays in my unmodded Wii. Not sure what that's about? But hey it's my first copy of Skyward Sword! Finally lol.

Haven't been finding games even though I go out every weekend...but I managed to find something last weekend...and forgot to say anything lol. I also found some stuff at Goodwill of all places.

Last weekend:

C64 Oil Barons - $2 (missing several little pieces)

Goodwill:

PS2 Sly 2 - $4 (CIB)
PS2 Radiata Stories - $4 (CIB, disc looks like it was buffed wrong...need to test)
DS Super Mario 64 - $4

Oil Barons is cool, first Commodore 64 game. If only she had still had the system! It's missing several little pieces since it's a board game and has lots of little player tokens and such...but it's mostly there.

The PS2 games are awesome. Been looking for both of them for awhile now. Bit worried about Radiata Stories but hopefully it works. I traded the DS game to Gamestop today for some quick cash. Made my money back at the very least. I've been trading into GS more...for quick cash it's a good option since they give more then my local game store/HPB/pawn shops. Less then eBay but it's cash now and no having to deal with shipping.

Went to that same Goodwill I found those PS2 and DS games at. Found some more stuff.

Goodwill:

GB Hunchback of Notre Dame - $5
PSP Blazing Souls Accelate - $4 (CIB)
GC Magical Mirror - $2 (missing manual)

Not sure if it's because the Goodwill is in a middle of nowhere sort of town or if I'm just lucky with it but that's the 2nd time I've gotten some good games from it. I might want to keep that Goodwill in mind...

Been out and about hitting several yard sales and thrift stores as a last ditch effort to find some things before yard sale season ends.

Random thrift store:

GC Megaman Network Transmission - $3 (loose)
N64 Knockout Kings 2000 - $1.66 (rental copy)
N64 Madden 99 - $1.66 (sticker on back)
N64 Ready 2 Rumble - $1.66 (front label is ripped)
GB Hercules - $3

Value Village:

DS Pokemon Conquest - $10 (CIB)
GC Kirby Air Ride - $15 (CIB, Player's Choice)
GC Super Smash Bros Melee - $30 (CIB)

Yard sale:

GC Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - $2 (CIB)

Yard sale:

DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time - $3 (loose)

My scores were obviously the Gamecube stuff. Kirby and SSB are going to be sold for gaming funds. Zelda I'm keeping since I needed it! I'm also keeping everything else but the last DS game...I already have it...whoops.

Rainy day...did not expect to find anything.

Estate sale:

SNES Donkey Kong Country
SNES Super Mario World

Got both for 75 cents!

Not in great condition but...for that cheap I don't care haha. Glad I asked.

Been awhile. Haven't been hitting any sales as it's not the season for it anymore. Also thrift stores are just awful for games. Too scratched, don't have any good ones or they want too much.

Anyways I stopped at a local book store looking for...books but I noticed they had a game section in the back! Glad I looked.

Book store:

SNES Total Carnage - $8
GB Rats! - $5
GBA Classic NES Series: Castlevania - $15
GBA Mario Tennis Power Tour - $12
PS2 Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories - $5 (CIB)
PS2 Technic Beat - $4 (CIB)
PS2 Magna Carta - $20 (CIB with art book)

Pretty good prices honestly. The only thing I'm not sure on is that Magna Carta. The disc is scratched and it has a few other issues. I think I'm going to just return it.

One thing I saw but passed on was a not for resale DKC on the GBA. The label had some pen marking on it and they wanted like 2x the price for what it sold for on eBay. I was hoping that I would have gotten lucky and they didn't notice it was a NFR version and mark it for cheaper but nope. I'm still debating about it since the sold one was $6.50 with 5 bids and the only two listed on eBay is like $19.95 with a rip or a $32 one.

If it's still there when I return the Magna Carta I think I might grab it.

Went back to that store and returned it just fine and the DKC was still there. Also went to a Goodwill I don't normally go to and did something I don't do that often. I grabbed every single game off the shelf and actually went through them all, checking the discs. I normally pass on checking them unless I want the game in the first place because I hate buying disc only games. But yeah...I found three empty cases, and two that had the wrong game in them...nothing of interest though.

Book store:

GBA Donkey Kong Country - $17

Goodwill:

PS2 Gran Turismo 3 - $3 (CIB, Greatest Hits)
PS2 Mad Maestro - $3 (missing manual)

I've actually been looking for Mad Maestro for awhile...just a shame there's no manual.

I didn't really get any games for the holidays this year (usually I go to pawn shops for their sales but I missed this year) so I saved up some money and went to a local game store to treat myself. I told myself to just spend $100 because I saw a reddit post about "if someone gave you $100, how would you spend it?" so I actually started thinking about it and I figured...why not, I have money saved up, let's just blow $100!

Game store:

2600 Trick Shot - Free
NES - The Chessmaster - $1
NES Play Action Football - $1
NES Roger Clemens MVP Baseball - $1
SNES Pebble Beach Golf Links - $1
SNES PGA Tour Golf - $1
SNES NCAA Football - $1
SNES Roger Clemens MVP Baseball - $1
SNES Waialae Country Club - $1
SNES Wheel of Fortune Deluxe Edition - $1
Genesis Sega Hard Drivin' - $1
Genesis Shining Darkness - $14 (has a little label damage)
Genesis Zero Tolerance - $15 (CIB, with some hand written codes shoved into the case as a bonus!)
PS1 Wild Arms 2 - $29 (Missing manual. So I bought this thinking it had the manual...usually they tell you up front if it doesn't so I was...uh surprised to say the least to see it was missing! Called and they'll check their other stores stock to see...so I might be getting a manual. If not they better let me return it :/ )
Gamecube Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time/Master Quest - $35 (CIB, finally got this one!)
Xbox Mortal Kombat Deception Mileena Kollector's Edition - $5 (CIB, was priced at $15 but she knocked it down to $5)

So other then Wild Arms 2...good haul. Now yes there's a lot of sports junk but I needed them for my collection. And at $1 a pop...that's fine by me. I'm hoping they can find a manual. At the price they're selling it for I expected it to be complete. It's eBay prices for a CIB copy (with free shipping). No manual means lower price :/

But I doubt they'll find one. They just happen to have a loose manual for Wild Arms 2? Ha.

Anyways...happy to at least get that Zelda game and Zero Tolerance. Both have been on my want list for a few years now. Feels...nice to mark them off!

Went back to that game store today. She couldn't find the manual (like I thought) so I just went in and exchanged it.

Game store:

DC Carrier - $30 (CIB, technically only $4.30 because of tax being a bitch in WA.)

Happy with my choice. It's CIB and it's a game I've been wanting for awhile. My Dreamcast collection gets almost no love because it's impossible to find good DC games here.

Went to a antique and car part swap meet this past Saturday at the fairgrounds...that was a weird one but I found some stuff!

Guy 1:

NES RoboCop - $5 (with dust sleeve)
NES Image Fight - $5

Guy 2:

GBA Puyo Pop - $2

Guy 3:

Pac-Man metal TV tray - $5 (bit rusty and seen better days...but still neat!)

There wasn't a lot of stuff out there but I grabbed some good stuff I think, for great prices. I saw a lot of old consoles but barely any games. If I had gone back Sunday I probably would have offered the guy selling the NES games something for all the rest of his games...it was sports stuff mainly but filler is always needed. Oh well.

Best score in awhile here! So some story first like always. We were traveling down in Tacoma because Dad had to go to Bremerton to buy a truck. So we hit up some Estate sales on the way there. First one we stop at...mixed feelings all around. It was in...well...not the slums but it wasn't a good neighborhood. Now mind you I've had some GREAT finds from places that look...bad. Not sure why but that's how it ends up. Anyways, so we stroll into the place and realized...not an Estate sale...moving sale really. Estate to draw people in I guess? So I look around and spot a Game Gear for $20. Came with Sonic 2. I have a..."working" Game Gear so I wasn't really interested. However...where there's smoke there's fire. I ask about old games...ANY old games. Wife goes ask hubby. Comes back and says they have a N64 they'd be willing to sell for the right price (hate when sellers say that...just tell me how much.) so I ask to see it. Wife comes back with a BOXED N64, 8 games and says there's 3 extra controllers on top of the 1 controller in the box with the console. I sort through the games and see several ones I want. I open the box, nothing special...plain dark gray controller and basic system but it's boxed so woo! I did see another game in the box too so that was now 9 games. Now is where I usually haggle. I was feeling $60 maybe $65 for the lot because I'm a cheap bastard.

However there was...this...creepy guy. HOVERING around me, BREATHING down my neck. Reseller type. Like all the other resellers in this area...my god idk why they're like this. Anyways so with this guy creeping on me I didn't feel...comfortable haggling. Thankfully my Mom, amazing woman that she is, sees me struggling and takes over. She goes to find the husband and haggles in the other room with him. Gets the price down to $70 for me and I jump on it. Walk away with a pretty awesome score!

The score:

Boxed N64 with dark gray controller (tight), plugs and expansion pak. (box has seen better days TBH, pawn shop stickers on it and some sort of sticky gum like substance I need to carefully break off)
3x gray controllers (all are fairly tight)
N64 Star Wars Rogue Squadron (needs some heavy TLC, marker all over the cart)
N64 Gauntlet Legends
N64 Nascar 99 (Blockbuster rental sticker on back)
N64 DK Racing (label faded and has marker on it)
N64 Nagano Winter Olypics '98 (pen on label, back label totally missing)
N64 Glover
N64 Wipeout 64 (one of the worst carts I've ever seen. Label is nearly gone and back label has some damage. I can only tell what game it is because there's a pawn shop sticker saying what it is)
N64 Super Smash Bros (marker on cart, some marker on label)
N64 Bomberman 64 (some sort of sticker residue on card, a single pen mark on label)

Great score right?! I have a few of these games but most of them I don't so really happy to add them to my collection! And super happy about that boxed N64. I have one already but it's for the Atomic Purple controller set. This box is more along the lines of what I would have originally gotten as a kid. I'm not going for a full boxed set but...hey if they keep landing in my path...I won't say no!

Hit a small rummage sale nearby.

Rummage sale:

PS1 Crash Bandicoot 2 - $1 (CIB, GH)
PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition - $3 (CIB, still sealed!)

Not much but I didn't have either of them and finding a sealed limited edition game is always fun.

Recently bought some NES games off of a Instagram seller that I usually buy old toys from...they were too cheap to pass up.

NES Gradius - $5
NES Life Force - $5
NES Rocket Ranger - $5 (with manual)
NES Star Force - $5
NES Stinger - $5
SNES Super R-Type - $5

All the NES came with dust sleeves. Tested them and they all seem to work though Stinger I didn't get to work yet as I got too frustrated with my NES and took it apart to boil the pins...so need to test it once they're dry.

Only slightly weird thing is Stinger and Star Force seem to have very odd screws in them. Not the normal ones you need a game bit to open. These look like flat head screws of some sort. Need to find a small enough flat head and see about opening them. Star Force also happens to be missing one of the screws too. Not sure what that's about...

But past that, they all look like they're in great condition and for that price...I'm not complaining! I got lucky lol.

Hit a few yard sales this last weekend and I went to Half Price Books today to sell some old books (but the wait time was an hour and a half so I just bought some stuff and left instead of waiting).

Saturday:

Yard sale #1:

Wii Mario Kart Wii - $1 (CIB)

Yard sale #2:

Wii New Super Mario Bros Wii - $3 (CIB)

Yard sale #3:

PS1 Legend of Dragoon - $3 (CIB, GH version)

Thrift store:

GB Mickey's Dangerous Chase - $2.50
GB Skate or Die 2 - $2.50

Pawn shop:

PS1 Robo Pit - $5 (CIB)
PS2 Suikoden Tactics - $14 (CIB)

Today:

HPB:

PS1 The Lost World: Jurassic Park - $8 (CIB)
PS2 Ghosthunter - $40 (CIB)

I got lucky on Sat with some of those games. Mainly the PS1s. Tactics I actually had but was missing the soundtrack so I just bought it complete. I'll sell my other copy off. Ghosthunter sounded weird so I grabbed it.

Also at HPB I saw my first copy of Rule of Rose...good god the price on it. I mean I know it's a "rare" game but wow.

Went to another pawn shop the other day and found some goodies...

Pawn shop:

Atari CXL4002 Basic Computing Language - $1
Atari CXL4002 Basic Computing Language - $1
Atari CXL4025 Defender - $1
Atari RX8039 Eastern Front (1941) - $1
Atari CXL4024 Galaxian - $1
5200 Galaxian - $1
5200 Joust - $1
5200 Popeye - $1
5200 Q Bert - $1
3DS Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove 3D - $10 (CIB)
3DS Pokemon Sun - $12 (CIB)
3DS Pokemon X - $12 (CIB)

I've been lucking out on 3DS Pokemon games lately...I guess people are finally getting tired of them and pawning them?

I also have no idea what those Atari CXL games are...never heard of the system but just seeing Atari made me take a chance...and for only a buck a piece...not that I can play them, but it won't kill my wallet.

Stopped at a bookstore I know has games and grabbed a few.

Bookstore:

Intellivision Advanced D&D - $5 (Missing manual and overlays, box in rough shape)
Genesis Power Monger - $5
SNES Beethoven - $5
Xbox Kabuki Warriors - $6 (CIB)

Nothing amazing but I have been looking for that Xbox game for awhile now.

Those are for the Atari 8-bit computer line.  BASIC was the pack-in for the 400 & 800 computer models and there's more of those carts around than there are working systems so nobody really wants those.  The others are all solid pickups, though.

Went to this city wide yard sale day in West Seattle...out of the maybe 30 or so sales I managed to get to...I only saw three people selling games (and yes I asked at EVERY sale)...slim pickings this year. But in general slim pickings...no one was selling anything all that good. I found some stuff but nothing like previous years.

Yard sale:

GB Kirby's Dream Land
GB Kirby's Dream Land 2
NES Duck Tales
NES Gauntlet II
NES Karnov
NES Ultima Exodus
Wii Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (CIB)

Paid $60 for all. Guy threw in a switcher box for free. I think I did pretty well. Knocked off some games I've been wanting for a long time like those two Kirby games. I have the Japanese versions of both as well as a Chinese version of Dream Land but I was never able to find the English versions...lol.

It was my birthday the other day so I went out to hit an arcade and Half Price Books (which was nearby.). My mom bought me a $100 gift card...which I promptly used up and then paid the rest (which was $38.52).

HPB:

SNES Lemmings - $10
SNES Prince of Persia - $10
SNES Spanky's Quest - $15
SNES Super Mario RPG - $50
PS2 We Love Katamari - $10 (CIB)
DS Dokidoki Majo Shinpan - $15 (CIB)
DS Wario Master of Disguise - $10 (CIB)

Really happy with all of these. Been wanting Super Mario RPG and We Love Katamari for years...never could find either of them (specifically Super Mario RPG...for a good price...found it over priced at game stores of course lol). Dokidoki Majo Shinpan...looks weird. Japanese import so I have no idea how to play it but...I had to get it once I Googled what the game was...leave it to the Japanese to make a game like this!
