BTW guys relax its only 12 hrs in haha.  Im gonna just dabble this year cuz I have less free time.  But im gonna go thru my favorite NES game, Maniac Mansion.  Someone pick two characters for me.

Target Renegade is done. This game isn't that hard, but it is the worst thumb killer.

Desert Commander is done.

Too hungover to do an in depth write up.
I will record a video of my last stage run during the course of the week to see if that helps people instead.

 

Kabuki: Quantum Fighter is done.  

Arch Rivals is done.

Nice job Gloves! Kabuki: Quantum Fighter is fun and a hidden gem, imo.

 

The music is some of my favorite. I really like the game a lot!

Anyone who can beat Bump n Jump should get a gold medal. I doubt that I will ever be able to. I can't even get halfway through that thing.

It's almost too difficult to be enjoyable. It would be much better with infinite continues (without having to input a convoluted cheat code) and a stage select for practicing the later stages.

Touch Down Fever is done.

Im really more curious about the 4th level because IMO i think thats the hardest.  At least in stage 5 you get the SUPER super gun that you never lose, and its more or less luck based if you get screwed with certain rooms.  I still swear this game has a pattern.  We should email the developers.


Anyway since no one chose any characters for me for Maniac Masion, i'll just pick two that'll make the game longer.  Wendy and Jeff.

WWF WrestleMania Steel Cage Challenge is done.

Galaxian is done.

I just did a quick no-death run of Ninja Gaiden. It's so much easier than Ninja Gaiden III. By far the easiest in the series, IMO. Maybe because I've played it so much.





 

Yay I just made the Meteor a millionaire via a lucrative publishing contract! Maniac Mansion done... now to, Zombie Nation.

Hello Kitty no Ohanabatake is done. That was surprisingly tough on some of the later stages.

Star Voyager is done:



Had a near-ideal start to the game, finding both power-up items after searching only three planets. The ending got tight, though, as the enemy closed in on my home space station and I got multiple SOS calls on different occasions (not sure whether they're cumulative in this game or not).

Then, after destroying the very last enemy mothership, my barrier got knocked out and I had to defeat the last TIE fighter without a shield, and I didn't dare return home for repairs since I'd already gotten one SOS in that battle (plus the mothership would respawn). But, I did it: phew!
