The group shot:

Zombie Nation (Yes, I did cover the EPROMs):

Alpha Mission:

Caveman Ninja (NTSC):

Solomon's Key 2 (NTSC):

Ikari Warriors 2:

RamPart:

And the heart-breaker, Castelian:

All games are NTSC, making SK2 and CG "technically" unreleased. Also, Castelian has some noticeable differences.

But why would Castelian be a heart-breaker? Because the name that was scribbled out was Rodland!!!!!!!!!! This means that this cart was at one point a Rodland prototype (most likely NTSC)! Doh!

Worst things have happened I suppose. . .

^^^ Tell me about it

There have been a bunch of differences upon quick playthroughs of each, most of which are major/minor text and licensing and horrible Engrish.

Weirdest one so far is the NTSC Caveman Ninja. Right off the bat, it says "euro" on the label, but it's definitely NTSC. Then, when playing the game, the jump and attack controls are backwards! So weird, we'll post more when we get to dissect them this weekend.

A German guy from DP.  Amazingly nice dude, and extremely easy to work with.

That's one of the hardest/scariest parts when it comes to collecting prototypes.  You have to take some chances.  I drop a LOT of money on these games, and the money went to an international seller with zero feedback.  It's part of playing the game though.

Cool finds...not a huge deal, but you put 'Caveman games' on the caveman ninja pic. Had me do a double take and say 'wtf?'

Yes, its Joe & Mac, not caveman games

Solomons Key 2 = Fire 'n Ice

Why does this proto seem so common? I swear I've saw more protos of SK2 then any other.

good to hear I was checking that thread often for updates on your part and actually the caveman game's game was the one I was thinking might be the most interesting no idea why but

so would Ikari Warriors 2 be a famicom proto plugged into a converter or just a famicom board that the company had left over which they use?

maybe that Rodland proto still exists in some form or another and they just used the actual shell and not the board.... although highly unlikely I'd rather think that then the obvious

anways awesome to hear that everything worked out with them arriving
