10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
9 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.
8 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
7 - Very good, but not quite great.
6 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
5 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
4 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
3 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
2 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people like this, but you are not one of them.
1 - Horrible in every way.
0 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

Good but not great. I think their music has gotten overplayed over the years, so 90% of the time I've listened to them it was of no control of my own. Still I think their music is pretty good, just don't love them, so gave them 7/10.

I'm gonna go with prob because it's not 1960's anymore and not everyone wants to go back and listen to something they don't relate to

But then again, every poll has been just popular acts from the last few years or had a resurgence either because of refound popularity or a death.

Do people just make you the dj at parties or do you cry this much in person too?

I give them a 10 because I love their music and the songs I love most are the ones that aren't as overplayed. That said, I don't think it's their fault they're overplayed, blame the radio or whatever pop culture moment gave a song additional meaning.

Perry has a hell of a voice and the music is catchy. They also have an Atari 2600 game.

The rankings are shaping up about where I thought they would be. On an absolute scale, you would think that the upper end would be higher, like Prince north of 7, but if you take into account the tone deaf trolls voting 0 every time and just go by the position, it seems pretty fair.

I went with 7. I was pondering 8 or 9, but as I thought, I don't listen to Journey as much as I do to bands like Boston or REO Speedwagon. Therefore, a 7.
