I love the morphin' cat mascot. How do you plan to release it?? I hope it's not just a small run of carts.

That looks amazing! Well done. Reminds me of a clash between Little Samson (graphics, controls) and Metroid (upgrades and map layout).. along with some RPG elements (adding players to your party?)

Put it on cart and sell it to me. Seems like there is plenty of interest. Congrats on a very nice looking home brew.

Ditto. I'd prefer a free release of course, but for such a high-quality game it would be great too to have it available like that.

SBP is amazing. I've had the honor of beta testing this game, and was impressed with each and everything Miau's done with it from the beginning until now. Great job Miau.

Thanks for the overwhelming feedback, it's very encouraging!
I was thinking to release the full game as a free rom download and have a cartridge version with bonus content. Sound good?

sounds awesome in fact. I would love to have this game on cart. I seldom do homebrew games. I definitely want to play this! it reminds my of a metroid/kid icarus/rygar hybrid, which is right up my alley. again, great work!  *edit* i was gonna fix my "my" typo, until i read it again, in a JarJar Binks voice.

I didn't want to sound negative, so I didn't mention it in my first mail, but I can only agree with the text boxes being "annoyingly small" :-/

The free release would be amazing, but man.....the fact that the cart run won't dominate is a shame in its self. Maybe do a cart release first and then ROM release later?

I was just about to say the same thing. People might get discouraged in buying a nice cart copy if you release this to for free. I am one that would rather have a nice cart or even CIB copy instead of downloading it.

On another note, nice job on the game. Gameplay looks right up my alley of interest and the  music is just phenomenal. Keep up the good work

I think the fact that you were willing to release the demo for free is more than nice enough. I would definitely recommend selling the game first with the option of a free rom release later on down the road.

Looking at how well games like Battle Kid have sold, I would imagine that this game would set records with its release.

But then what will cheap bastards like me will do???

I think free from the beginning is a great option because... because... uhh ... free things kick ass!

But you'd just have to wait.....I would too. I don't buy homebrews sadly, I don't have that much cash. Although this game may end up being bought if I can afford it!

If you buy ANY NES games to actually play then you're missing out by not buying the better homebrews.  There are a few that stand up better than the vast majority of the classic library.

I also buy NES games to play at $3 a piece instead of $35, heh. The price of a 360 game. And they're good, but I still think that there are only a couple that are really NES game standards.
