After many talk about Failzone, a Nintendo Zone exploit, a new DSi exploit has come onto the horizon, in the form of Memory Pit, an exploit for the Nintendo DSi Camera.

Memory Pit makes use of the pit.bin file stored on the SD Card. By simply replacing this file with a "corrupted" version, the exploit allows you to run homebrew as a boot.nds file, making DSi modding much easier. No Flipnote required this time!
This is what shutterbug2000, the creator of the exploit had to say.

Memory Pit is a new DSi exploit in the DSi camera!
Using it is very simple:
1) Download the attached file and put it in sd:/private/ds/app/484E494A
2) Put the hbmenu.nds file on the root named boot.nds (can't be unlaunch, it won't work. Unlaunch can be booted via hbmenu however)
3) Open DSi camera, tap SD card at the top, and tap album
4) Done!

Enjoy modding your DSi!

So what are your modding plans for the DSi? Mine has already been hacked using Flipnote Lennyface. Let me know!

I guess people say I'm a "big one" in the Nintendo DSi missing scene...
Archiving NAND's, archiving DSiWare, coming in contact with collectors...
But in reality...
I can't even program a single line.
